@vosdscott How about “Do you intend to bring back the discount senior and children ticket programs required under Measure C that the Padres conveniently dropped when the team started winning?”
This video explains why there is a "Guggenheim" patch on the @Dodgers jerseys, instead of the paid sponsorships other clubs have. It makes the club more valuable to hold out for a unicorn sponsorship than the actual revenue they could get from an actual sponsor.
The first budget came out less than two weeks ago, also in May. The “May Revise” is a stupid state thing that we do not need to repeat locally. Was the first budget a stunt? How did we find a bunch of new revenue we didn’t know about less than two weeks ago.
My May Revise to the City budget restores targeted library and recreation center hours, youth investments, and violence prevention funding while keeping our focus on the fundamentals: public safety, roads, reducing homelessness, and building more homes.

Seems like an oped about San Diego not having a revenue problem would include some analysis of revenue. The fact is that San Diego collects less revenue per capita than any large city in California and it would get much worse with Bailey’s repeal the fee initiative.
Check out my latest oped in the @voiceofsandiego about how the City of San Diego does not have a revenue problem, it has a spending and management problem: https://t.co/AlkhA5SsZd
@voiceofsandiego Rates in OC are increasing and will be in line with San Diego. Important to note all of OC is private waste haulers.

@paulkruegersd It sure would make sense if the Padres and hotels made their 10,000+ parking spaces available for their employees to use during special events.
It’s six years since the pandemic and riders have not come back. Commute patterns into San Francisco have changed.
BART’s productivity is now under 25 boardings per revenue hour, lower than most bus systems. They could thin out service into SF and most riders would not notice.
Lots of people piling on the Bay Area’s backbone @SFBART today with charts like this one.
The implication is that service should have shrunk during the pandemic to match the loss of riders.
But in that case, it would never have recovered at all. 1/
#MTSAlert Due to a switch malfunction, expect Trolley service delays in downtown. UC San Diego Blue Line trains to UTC will bypass downtown & use Green Line tracks. Riders needing to go into downtown core can transfer to the Orange Line (no service to Courthouse) or bus service.
@humantransit Transit board members only use transit when they travel and consider it a better option to renting a car or paying for a taxi. Through that lens, transit to the airport is the most important rail connection. Transit advocates want it to greenwash their air travel.
