@LaxmiChar@sonyabalasubra@ParityInclusion@Romy_Skye@svsrikant@PravinTatavarti I get asked this a lot :) I've arrived at the conclusion that a focus on developing women leaders is necessary - not because women need special development but because otherwise women slip through the cracks of informal networks and unwritten rules and don't get access/visibility
@ParityInclusion Allyship is critical to disrupting current 'defaults'. Flawed systems(e.g. #patriarchy) negatively impact all people – not just women or members of underrepresented groups. So dismantling these helps everyone – especially #allies. A rising tide lifts all boats! #AloofAllyAdvocate
@ParityInclusion I'd love to get someone else's perspective on how adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies in heavy engineering is affecting gender inclusion rates in factories in India. #SpeakOutStepUp#AloofAllyAdvocate
@ParityInclusion I think it already has as far as Management, Design, and R&D functions go. Where I hope it will also level the field is in blue-collar jobs in manufacturing units, through a certain degree of factory automation. #AloofAllyAdvocate
Revathy, research shows that Diversity on Boards positively impacts company results. What has been your experience while serving as an Independent Director?
@RevathyAshok#AloofAllyAdvocate#SpeakoutStepup
@LaxmiChar@rmaikkara@ParityInclusion@arvindnag My experience has been that because of mandate there is at least woman on the Board .very few companies go beyond the mandated composition . I believe that being 50% of the population we need more women in positions of decision making to move the needle . #AloofAllyAdvocate
@LaxmiChar@bangaatul@ParityInclusion Would like to add that it's not always easy for them even in an industry like IT, especially when the career path becomes fluid after a break for family reasons, very few companies enable a seamless growth experience.
