@catallman This is terrible news. The company is making it so difficult to see who was unceremoniously targeted. The time we got to work together was some of my favorite.
I am teaching a bunch of kids to bike city streets, and it made me realize how much risk I have become comfortable with. Teaching them when it's safe to NOT be in the bike lane was part of last week's lesson. I'd LOVE to see a similar program in SF
absolutely love this new @Casey video on @LincolnRestler's proposed bike lane bounty for jerks who block bike lanes
it's a bummer that a system like this is needed in NYC, but there are *far too many* dangerous situations bikers are put in every day

@willnorris Google news on iOS is so bad about this!! It is so frustrating that I think twice about reading an article, because when I go back to my feed, it might just refresh.
@avleen@zmagg On iOS (I assume on Android too) there is something called "your map" under search, and I have had to find the place in regular google maps, go back to the photos map, and zoom/scroll until I found the images. Yes, they should be able to integrate with maps location data.
This is what makes me want an electric car. Starting each morning with a charged car, or topping it off while I work. Super chargers are great for road trips, but I’d rather be doing other things. https://t.co/WDDXjgFpuu
@zmagg It should be better, but it used to be a lot worse. When I was working at the clean machine (early 2000s) choices were something designed for a tall man, something heavy or something custom. Is part of the problem designing around 700c wheels?
The concept of choice is complex when one considers more than the most myopic circumstances. What if someone's "choice" was made under duress? It's really dangerous to judge the choices others make from the safety and comfort of our own privilege.
@ProgramMax@mcmillen@plex It should. I have used it to sync movies and TV shows to devices before traveling. I don't see why it wouldn't do the same with music. With a fast enough home connection, you're right that streaming from home should work well too.
@Host999Ghost@mcmillen@steven_johnson Perf doesn’t really factor into ratings. At least not the peer feedback. Calibration happens before peer feedback is due. Calibration is where your immediate manager makes a case for your rating… So it’s not technically decided by your manager, but it mostly is…
My kid is blind to the socks, toys and art supplies spread throughout the house, but can spot the smallest spec of unexpected color in their food from a mile away
