@LifeAfloat I have the 1990 version of that tent, it’s always the last man standing after storm force winds. I’d pitch it with 20 other strangers tents at high altitude and after a storm I’d wake to find it was the only one left standing. I hope your new one is equally good 🙏🏻
@figgysfriend@MayorofLondon There are three drinking water stations in Beckenham Place Park, one provided by MoL by the skate ramp, one in the homestead courtyard and another by the playground coffee kiosk 💦💦💦
ANNOUNCED TODAY: The Mayor's Green and Resilient Spaces Fund awards £4m to projects that will improve green spaces that will help safeguard the London from the impacts of climate change. https://t.co/SEYPUZ0WBT
@Rahario @SophieMcGeevor @JamesARathbone @OctaviaLewisham @damienegan@LeeGreenLabour So good to see this happening, well done to the hard working people involved in bringing it into fruition. Let’s have more of this in the Borough.
@idverdeprojects @CamdenCouncil@idverdeUK Been thinking about this after a conversation with a local at BPP who’s deeply into Petanque and it’s social benefits. Let’s talk about the cost to install Alistair.
@JaneCanDoSE4 I did meet him, and he was a great help! It’d be wonderful if you could join us this afternoon as there’s still plenty of plants to get in!
This is what you look like when you’ve spent the day in the sun volunteering @BeckenhamPark slightly mad, filthy but very happy. There are still 2500 plants left to go in. If anyone wants to help come down any day after 9.30 at the gardener’s cottage and ask for Gavin.
@JamesJWalsh@bppmansion@Brenda_Dacres@AndreMBourne@damienegan @SophieMcGeevor @TeamCatford That’s good to know. Things are looking up, the lake is just about finished and the new playground is open from today. Cat fest is happening tomorrow and the flower show is on Sunday so plenty to see and do!
@MmeHilaire@LewishamCouncil The work includes new bike racks at the mansion (see location in picture) and in the stable courtyard. If they prove popular then more will be added.
@BeckenhamPark while your volunteers were hard at work transforming the gardens, these guys were doing a good job restoring the carriage drive. Funny how much better it looks when the tarmac is gone @idverdeUK@LewishamCouncil @heritagelottery
Thanks to @BeckenhamPark ‘s regular volunteers and @LewishamCouncil regeneration & place team who helped get the first wave of planting in for the pleasure grounds at BPP. Really great work today!
