@benlandautaylor Whenever I meal-prep, I'm surprised there aren't more prevalent "chicken and rice" places where you can very cheaply get a bunch of prepped meals.
They're all branded (and priced) as "not just another meal prep company", but I actually want a basic meal prep company.
Cryptographic signatures are 100x more accessible to agents vs email / sms / etc...
I can't believe sign-in-with-eth (or similar) hasn't grown more popular yet.
holy fucking shit Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the WorldWideWeb, is an @ensdomains user and supports the vision of @signinwitheth π€―π€―π€―π€―π€―π€―
"I've already got timbl.eth, timbl.eth is me... I should be able to log-in with timbl.eth"
This is 10/10 content (to me, an app developer for 15 years). It's just so interesting.
This is like some bizarre, WWE version of my profession.
The spectacle here (or of something similar) is going to dominate our collective attention this year.
Maybe it was rational in that our intuitive sense was that the upside was unlikely to be reflected in the ROI calculations in a favorable way next to the more tangible downsides... But it didn't quite feel this way (and this isn't really how we communicate).
Maybe it's rational on some meta level:
I want kids (a),
If I think-about-it (b), I won't get (a).
Therefore I'll just skip (b) and get what I want (a).
But still, intentionally skipping the think-about-it step where we weigh pros + cons feels irrational.
@SpencrGreenberg We had a 3yo and a 1yo. My wife and I felt that if we really thought about it, we'd probably decide not to have a 3rd kid. So we just didn't think about it and had a 3rd kid (now ages are 6, 4, and 2).
Parents beware -- letting your kids watch even 1 hour of @AlexHonnold can change their lives forever.
Or, at least, it changed my last 2 weekends pretty drastically.
@_esk_kse_ That's the pragmatic way to fix the risk-vs-reward... lower the risk by *not* blasting $$$ at every new thing.
The trouble is that founders get rich by FOMO, not by labeling their project as an incrementally better experiment with a novel risk profile.
Bear markets fix this...
@walterwhitepill Something something friends along the way... which is sad considering how many enemies all of us laptop people seem to have collected along the way.
