Polkadot, along with JAM Grid, will send all other chains including Ethereum, SOLANA, Polygon into the depths of history.

Current status of @Polkadot :
. Average achieved TPS: 100,000
In the 23-core Kusama test results, 143,343 TPS efficiency was obtained.
In this case, 623,230 TPS can be calculated with 100 cores.
. With JAM :1,000,000 TPS (asynchronous support)
. Block Time: 6 seconds

JAM Grid TPS:
. ~1,000,000,000 TPS
(is theoretical and provides approximate value for complex operations)
. Block Time: 500 ms (asynchronous support)
. Data Capacity: 2 PB
. Data usage, bandwidth: 857 MB/s bandwidth

In the ETHLisbon demo, 6.3 million real TPS figures were reached with JAM with a data transfer speed of 850 MB/s in the trial versions alone.

JAM Graypaper projects 1 million TPS in simple operations achieved through parallel processing and efficient use of elastic scaling.

JAM Grid : Provides a hypothetical future state with 1,023 cores.
Can reach 1 billion TPS with massively parallel operations and 2 PB of data availability hardware.
This is a long-term vision that will be realized in Polkadot’s JAM.

這兩天波卡圈開始在討論這件事
Polkadot 太便宜了
$DOT 根本用不掉又高通膨
完了

這讓我想到二十年前的一個故事
當時我大三
自學了圍棋
常在網路下棋
那時台灣最紅的網絡圍棋網 LGS

一開始它是免費的
非常多人用
很容易找到人下棋
幾乎每個台灣下網路圍棋的人都有 LGS 帳號

後來 LGS 決定要收費
收費當然沒問題
使用者付費
我當時找到創辦人
建議他
基本下棋功能維持免費
進階功能收費
主要原因是總有一批免費仔
沒有免費功能它們就會跑
而這是平台
人一少體驗就會爛
價值會崩

當時創辦人沒理我
覺得使用者付費硬道理
不想付費的人就讓他們走
高品質的平台只留下高品質用戶

幾年後
LGS 就沒落了

我偶爾還是會登進去看看
曾經的好友名單一片灰
站上人數只剩過去十分之一
要找對局要等很久的配對

網路效應其實不是新東西
幾乎這二十年來整個世界都在示範這件事

回到波卡
DOT 用途不足是事實
價值獲取不夠好是事實

但這不表示波卡該在現階段開始追求更高收費、更多銷毀

一年多前
波卡首個銘文 DOTA
一晚燒掉多少 $DOT？

那就是個實際案例
告訴你只要應用爆
就算是目前不夠好的代幣模型
還是能燒到通縮

而波卡目標是 web 3
它是整個區塊鏈底層

現階段它的重點在於建立標準
累積生態
創造應用

$DOT 的機制
其實都可以慢慢調整

去中心化治理也已經有成功案例
我們已經成功降低了通膨率

Plaza、JAM 都會增加 DOT 使用
但沒有應用也是白搭

Mythos 帶來了幾百萬使用者
現在去跟它計較付費太少
沒燒掉 DOT
合適嗎？

其實我的重點就這五句
現階段重點是應用
是生態
不是收費
打造網路效應是現在最重要的事
不是修改代幣模型
