On December 31, the current United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres, will conclude his decade-long tenure at the helm of the organization. The UN is now vetting potential successors.
The LIGP has serious concerns about the candidacy of Lana Nusseibeh, the United Arab Emirates’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, who is being seen as a compromise candidate.
Nusseibeh has acted in contradiction to the principles of the United Nations, whitewashed genocide, and maintained close ties with two regimes accused of perpetrating genocide. She should not be entrusted with leading the United Nations. Such a position demands an unwavering commitment to international law, accountability, and the prevention of mass atrocities.
The credibility of the United Nations is at stake. The question is stark: Will it continue as a flawed institution charged with the protection of the peace and security of all humanity or will it become merely one more cynical instrument used by genocidaires to further and cover up their crimes?

No one mentions that Palestinians with israeli passports, even though they can vote, are at imminent risk of being exterminated. Their names and registered addresses are a tag for them to be collected by zionists and persecuted. Like Germany did to Jewish people in 1930s and 40s.
Israel’s Arab citizens, men and women, are turning out in historic numbers to vote. They can vote, run for office, and serve in the Knesset, rights denied to many Arabs and women across much of the Middle East.
Our critical ally in the fight against terror, Israel, is the only democracy in the region, and today shows it.
Hasan Piker: “Trans people are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. Muslims are 1% of the population. They shouldn’t be talked about endlessly. It’s not a Guatemalan migrant that made your housing more expensive. It’s your landlord, it’s hedge funds buying out all of these homes and rising up their prices. A transgender person is not the reason your energy costs are skyrocketing. It’s the wars we’re waging, the data centers sucking up the energy needs. This is just the truth”
It’s deeply disrespectful to us Brazilians, who spent 20 days mobilizing across the country, standing up to Big Tech and imperialist forces, to credit our victory as a nation to an American billionaire who said absolutely nothing about our elections. Delete this shit, @Variety.
Muito obrigado pela mensagem, presidente @sanchezcastejon. O Brasil seguirá ao lado da Espanha na defesa da democracia, da justiça social, do multilateralismo e da paz. Somos aliados no progressismo global!
I am a Palestinian journalist from Gaza. Lived my whole life there.
Lana is of Palestinian origin. She is a traitor to Gaza and Palestine, elevated and exalted by the Gaza Holocaust perpetrators and its vehement supporters.
Don’t vote for her no matter what.
AIPAC is now spending as much as $9 million against Abdul El-Sayed.
AIPAC is why we’re at war in Iran.
AIPAC is why the U.S. has supported genocide in Gaza.
We must say NO to AIPAC.
YES to electing Abdul as Michigan’s next U.S. Senator.
He doesn’t matter. We all see the truth. You’re vicious savages. A single columnist didn’t help me see it. Watching a parent pick up their children’s body parts in Gaza, or witnessing all those villages razed in Southern Lebanon, had way more impact.
We literally all saw the IDF gang rape ON CAMERA and get away with it.
Savages. It’s too late. We all know and I promise I won’t let anyone forget.
This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli government’s devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians—including more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them – all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.
I can't believe The LEGO Group would license their product to Israel, this has irreparably damaged my opinion of their brand and me and my children will never purchase another LEGO product @LEGO_Group
Vladimir Putin couldn't deliver a speech at the UN General Assembly due to ICC arrest warrant, but Benjamin Netanyahu can deliver his speech at the UN even with ICC arrest warrant! How much Zionist lobby have control over the UN and US.
This world has completely lost its meaning
The Lemkin Institute for Genocide Prevention stands with artists who speak out against genocide.
When venues and sponsors silence those speaking out against genocide, they help sustain that very genocide.
The larger issue, of course, goes well beyond Ed Sheeran and Robert Kraft using large venues to silence those who speak out against genocide. A dangerous argument has emerged that naming genocide and standing against it is primarily a political act, when in fact it is now and always has been a moral imperative.
We urge Ed Sheeran to speak out against genocide and to use his immense power to push back against genocide supporters and genocide deniers seeking to silence our humanity.
Silence is complicity.
59 years of predatory occupation.
1,049 days of genocide.
7 governments.
One statement.
Zero sanctions.
And it even misses the international law obligation: per the ICJ 2024 Advisory Opinion, it's the occupation itself -not just the E1 plans- that must end.
So: Cut trade now.
@vonderleyen Did the EU President really discuss the most catastrophic moment in West Asia as if corporate interests mattered more than human life?
This sounds both inhuman and dangerous: it doesn’t just shame the institution Ms @vonderleyen presides over, it makes Europeans look barbaric.
L'annessione della Cisgiordania, con i soldati complici dei coloni. Gaza annientata. L'avanzata in Libano. Il confine violato in Siria. La guerra all'Iran. Pulizia etnica e massacri. Così la destra sionista dà forma al Grande Israele

Last year I warned #Hyundai and other corporations that Israel uses their machinery in apparent unlawful conduct, and that failure to disengage from Israel’s genocidal occupation could entail criminal liability for both corporations and their executives.

Apartheid became part of the name of the country, as in, “apartheid South Africa.”
Apartheid Israel should be the same. The word Israel should never be mentioned without the word Apartheid.
