I’m pretty sure I watched a guy completely shut down a classic jealousy trap yesterday.
I was sitting at the next table over.
He calmly pointed out that his girlfriend had been glued to her phone all night.
Instead of putting it down, she smirked and dropped this: "It’s just a guy from work texting me. He actually just asked me out for coffee."
From the outside, it looked like a blatant test. A play to make him sweat, ask about the other guy, and fight for her attention.
It's wild that "we don't ask who you are" used to be the pitch of a sketchy offshore island. Now it's just how you incorporate in a few US states, completely legally.
There is alwaysssss something better, a healthier environment, a more fulfilling career, deeper relationships, kinder friends, a life that fits you more completely. Never convince yourself you have to settle.
