As of today I’ve been in hospital 60 days. Today I’ve hit and emotional wall and just wanna go home so badly. I’ve cried way too much today.

After 2 long weeks in Broomfield Hospital, I’m finally home. My bowel still isn’t behaving itself and it’s gonna be a bit of a ride to find out why it’s stopped working and how to get it back to how it used to be but I’m SO pleased to be back home.

Day 6 being an inpatient at broomfield. Was on the gastro ward but got moved to a different ward last night, now not being seen by gastro doctors?! You can’t make this up.

Procedure for discovering someone has parked across your driveway and blocked you in:

1. Put your hands on your hips and stare at the car
2. Look left and right (with incredulous menace) up the street, then look behind you at your own trapped vehicle
3. Shake your head, mutter “unbelievable” or “who the hell’s parked there?”
4. Hold your arms out with hands upturned, like you’re holding a large invisible fish (🤷‍♂️). Look gobsmacked
5. Go closer to the enemy car (one hand on hip now, the other hand scratching the back of your head) to view it from different angles as if readying yourself to pick it up
6. Consider two drastic approaches: (1) knocking on neighbouring doors, (2) leaving a stern note on the windscreen
7. Go back inside and hope the enemy car goes soon. Furiously monitor the situation from the video doorbell/window
8. Remember to breathe
