Dear Governor Umaru Bago, @HonBago
It is deeply sad & unfortunate to see yet another tragedy in Nigeria where the lives of ordinary citizens appear to be treated as expendable. This is as we weep the barbaric acts perpetuated by the Lakurawa terrorists following the attack & abduction of worshippers in Borgu. Words can't express our pains for the failure of govt at state and federal level.
Suspending the NSCDC boss and setting up a committee of investigation cannot, by themselves, solve the problem. Nigerians have seen this pattern repeatedly: a panel is constituted, investigation finding a never announced, the public attention eventually fades, families are left to mourn, and accountability becomes another forgotten promise.
These 37 young people were someone’s sons, brothers, relatives and friends. Many were teenagers and young people struggling to survive in an economy where poverty and unemployment have pushed vulnerable Nigerians into desperate means of livelihood.
Yes, illegal mining must be addressed, but we must also confront the deeper question: why are young Nigerians being forced into such dangerous activities simply to survive?
When poverty becomes so severe that young people must risk their lives to put food on the table, leadership cannot respond only by blaming the victims. The system has a responsibility to protect lives, create opportunities and prevent desperate citizens from being pushed into deadly situations.
Your Excellency, Niger State needs more than another investigation. It needs justice, transparency & accountability.
Let the investigation be independent, comprehensive and made public. Let those found responsible, regardless of their position or affiliation, face the full consequences of the law. If criminal negligence or deliberate wrongdoing is established, the appropriate punishment under Nigerian law should be imposed.
Most importantly, please ensure that this tragedy does not become another statistic that Nigerians eventually forget.
37 lives is not a number.
37 families are grieving.
37 futures have been lost.
Governor Bago, Nigerians are watching. We need justice for the victims, support for their families, and concrete action to ensure that this does not happen again.
May Allah have mercy on the departed and give their families the strength to bear this painful loss.
WHAT AN IMPOSSIBLE ENGINEERING!
As Saudi Arabia announces the successful completion of the 2026 Hajj season, with more than 1.7 million pilgrims performing the sacred pilgrimage, it is worth appreciating the remarkable planning, logistics, and engineering that make this spiritual gathering possible year after year.
In this video, my good friend @sai7org takes us on a fascinating tour, explaining some of the incredible infrastructure behind Hajj operations. Particularly interesting is how the enormous amount of water used across the Mashaer, that is, in Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah, is transported from desalination plants connected to the sea and distributed efficiently to serve millions of pilgrims, despite the challenging desert environment.
From water systems and transportation networks to crowd management and public services, the Hajj remains one of the greatest logistical operations on earth and an example of what human ingenuity can achieve in the service of faith.
Pantami Mediates Between El-Rufai, Uba Sani at Funeral Gathering
A moment of reconciliation was captured at the funeral of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, as Islamic cleric, Isa Ali Pantami, was seen standing between Nasir El-Rufai, and Uba Sani

The Imam makes du'a for young women🥹
"And do not leave a young woman except that You make her happy, protect her, enrich her, grant her success, comfort her heart, and fulfill her hopes, O Lord of the Worlds"
The night of the 27th of Ramadan in Masjid al-Haram is completely filled with worshippers. The mosque has reached full capacity and its gates have even been closed due to the massive crowd. Outside the mosque, the surrounding areas of Mecca are also packed with people devoted in prayer.
May Almighty Allah grant us the opportunity to witness Laylatul Qadr, the blessed night better than a thousand months. Ameen.
This is the night of the 27th of Ramadan, which has the highest probability of being the Night of Decree and Majesty (Laylatul Qadr). I will pray for you, and I beg you all to pray for me.
May Allah, the Ever-Living, the Self-Sustainer, answer all our prayers, forgive our departed parents and loved ones, bless our families, heal our communities, rescue the oppressed, subdue the oppressor, bring absolute peace, stability, and prosperity to our communities and nations, forgive our shortcomings, accept our good deeds, and make Jannatul Firdaus our final destination.

El-Rufai’s continued detention which appears to offend his rights as a citizen should concern Nigerians. We are a country of laws, and all citizens should enjoy their constitutional rights. Govt agency holding him should explain why he is still in detention, or release him now.
Appreciate your Taraweeh Imams.
They’ve spent the whole day revising, making sure every verse is perfect.
Most of their effort goes unseen; the hours of recitation, the repetition, the pressure not to make mistakes.
May Allah accept their efforts. Ameen
