@PAHoyeck @SmashedEars Cage's 4'33 is a counterexample to most definitions of music, so there should be something alike for the literature. it's less fun — blank books. But they probably can convey meaning — e.g. to be an instance of conceptual analysis: 'I am a book, but without words, am I a book?'

@luscofusch Because this study is wrong, as showed by Hogenbirk; though the difference isn't huge. The truth is that the picture is more complex. Today good continental philosophers are those ones who either have an analytic training or a special competence in some relevant field.
