@brusselsproutEU Especially in tech I often see projects that sound cool but have no real commercial value or would never hold together outside a lab.

It's also damaging the ecosystem, as I have met a lot of decent developers who waste their time building one off prototypes for these projects.

We’re opening ElevenLabs Japan!

From the start, our purpose was to build AI audio for the world - tech that works in any language, for any voice, globally. That’s shaped everything: how we train our models to generalize across languages; how we build our products, like Voice Library so people anywhere with different accents and styles, can share their unique voices and earn from it, and finally how we grow our teams and deployments around the world.

We have always seen ElevenLabs as a global company - with teams of all backgrounds. We are excited to have offices in London, New York, Warsaw - and as of today - Japan.

Personally, I’ve always been inspired by Japan’s ability to mix deep tradition with innovative technology - in design, film, or just daily life. It’s a balance that feels grounded and forward-thinking at the same time. With our work we’re trying to do the same - build for what’s next, while staying mindful of where it all started.

7 εταιρείες με ηλεκτρικά πατίνια πουλάνε το εμπόρευμα τους στο εμπορικό τρίγωνο της Αθήνας, με μηδενικό σεβασμό σε πεζούς, στο δημόσιο χώρο και στα ΑμεΑ, χωρίς άδεια από το δήμο και χωρίς να πληρώνουν ούτε ευρώ. Καθημερινά, ανήλικοι οδηγάνε ηλεκτρικά πατίνια στην Αθήνα χωρίς κράνος.

Ας ζητήσουμε από το δήμο Αθηναίων να τους σταματήσει, μέχρι ο δήμος να ορίσει σαφείς κανόνες για τη μικροκινητικότητα. Το move fast and break things δεν έχει θέση στα πεζοδρόμια της Αθήνας, στις ράμπες των ΑμεΑ και στους οδηγούς των τυφλών.

Αν μαζέψουμε 50 υπογραφές, μπορούμε να ζητήσουμε από το δημοτικό συμβούλιο της Αθήνας να συζητήσει το θέμα των πατινιών και να υιοθετήσει το παρακάτω ψήφισμα. Μπορούμε να μαζέψουμε 500.

Δεν είμαστε κατά της μικροκινητικότητας. Είμαστε υπερ του σεβασμού στο δημόσιο χώρο, στα ΑμεΑ, στους πεζούς και στο δήμο. Τα πατίνια θέλουν κανόνες και επίβλεψη από το κράτος.

Απαιτούμε τον ελάχιστο σεβασμό στο δημόσιο χώρο και στους ανθρώπους αυτής της πόλης.
