It's important to remember not all parents had a good experience while in #school.
We have to try and repair those bridges and help parents understand we can’t change their past, BUT we can #change their child's future.
And to do that, it needs to be a partnership.

Is your school proactive or reactive ? A sign of a proactive school is one that leverages it’s talent (aka teachers and students). A school that is constantly scrambling year to year is a reactive school. Best way to move into proactive mode is to empower your talent!
Depression is not sad; anxiety is not worries; trauma is not “shaken off”. Mental wellness needs understanding, even if we can’t have a full understanding of what it feels like (empathy) #sicknotweak#advocon2019
4 questions to test your intellectual humility:
- Do I think more like a soldier or a scout? (Soldiers defend, scouts explore.)
- Do I want to understand or just be right?
- Do I seek opposing views?
- Do I enjoy the pleasant surprise of discovering I’m wrong?

I stand by my statement. #ProRepIsLit.
Proportional representation means exactly what it says: 40% of the votes = 40% of the seats.
Governments elected under pro rep do what so many of us do every day. They work together to get things done. #bcpoli
