@BasedMikeLee Mike, as a member of the LDS, I’m doubtful that your grasp of the Bible is authoritative. The Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine and Covenants hold higher authority for you than the Bible, which the Church teaches has been incorrectly translated and interpreted.

@ilJefeReardono @PrayTheRosary About one hundred & fifty years ago a group of bishops rejected Papal authority & walked out of the first Vatican Council, forming the Old Catholic Church movement which splintered, spawning groups that espouse very liberal theology. I see that to be path the SSPX is on.

@StephenG4242 @PrayTheRosary If they go through with the ordination of bishops without Papal approval excommunication of the consecrators and the consecrated is automatic because of schism (denial of Papal authority). Priests would be automatically excommunicated as schismatics if they remain in the SSPX.
