Has NASA has put out something similar to this somewhere? I have been looking for some nice animations of the trajectory for ages and haven't come across anything. Really love this sort of thing as it shows scale and the orbital mechanics of the mission very nicely.

8 Years Ago Today We Launched a Car Into Space
On February 6, 2018, Falcon Heavy launch for the very first time; instantly becoming the most powerful operational rocket in the world.
For its demonstration payload, SpaceX did something unforgettable: instead of a test mass, they launched a Tesla Roadster with a spacesuited mannequin named Starman sitting behind the wheel.
The upper stage sent the car into an orbit around the Sun that crosses the path of Mars… and eight years later, it’s still there.
📍 Where is Starman today?
The Roadster is currently cruising through interplanetary space:
188,698,923 miles (303,681,574 km / 2.03 AU) from Earth — moving toward us at ~6,376 mph (2.85 km/s)
117,564,985 miles (189,202,562 km / 1.27 AU) from Mars — moving away at ~10,494 mph (4.69 km/s)
130,900,966 miles (210,664,749 km / 1.41 AU) from the Sun — drifting outward at ~13,585 mph (6.07 km/s)
It takes about 557 days to complete one orbit, and Starman has now completed over 5.2 orbits around the Sun.
🛣️ The ultimate road trip
Since launch the car has traveled: 4.02 billion miles (6.47 billion km)
Enough to drive every road on Earth 100 times
Its 36,000-mile warranty has been exceeded 111,691 times
🎧 Still listening to Bowie
If the battery were still working:
“Space Oddity” would have played ~793,965 times
“Life on Mars?” ~1,069,834 times
The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy ~11,989 listens
The images of Earth reflected in the car and Starman staring into space became instantly iconic — a symbol of a new era of commercial heavy-lift spaceflight.
Eight years later, the Falcon Heavy test payload is still on its silent solar orbit… a human artifact from Earth forever circling the Sun. 🌍✨

After thousands of generations who only knew Earth sunsets, you are alive to see the first photograph of a sunset on another world.
This is the real thing: sunset on Mars. 🌅🪐
