We are winding down operations and sunsetting Crosshatch.
Thank you to all who supported Crosshatch in pursuit of a more adaptive internet.
We've hosted all our docs, blogs, and site copy at https://t.co/mNDrd7qE3m for those (or their AI) who want to pick up the torch.
Whoever wins AI personalization wins the consumer.
Nobody actually wants to work with multiple agents.
Why everyone isn't scrambling to try and get more data and context from users right now to do better personalization is beyond me.

As the speed of software development tends towards infinity; the bottleneck won't be writing and testing code - but rather, how frequently we can sample the preferences of our users.
proactive ai is inevitable, but most people don’t get that it’s not just automation, it’s intelligence that seeks to optimize your workflow before you even think to ask.
the first startups to nail this will eat a lot of existing tooling overnight.
this is the area i am personally most deeply intrigued & excited by. a simple primitive example: tasks + deep research is basically google alerts & more on steroids. instead of just keyword triggering you can trigger on real proactive intelligence. the combinations are endless.
anthropic:
> consumer agents are overhyped because fully specifying your preferences is more work than just doing the thing yourself
> what about a context layer so models could infer your preferences
new blog: MeDP
Consumer agents without complete context are like insecure interns. First party data – whether in a CDP or memory layer for AI – won't cut it.
