@skill_of_life Like it.
As I've come to see it, there are givers and takers. That position hardly ever changes.
Avoid too much giving to takers, they'll keep on taking till the end of time.
Find givers, and give. That's where the magic is.
@scibasedlifter_ The main problem is fibre type related. High volumes of hypertrophy work, that bb do, lead to unfavourable changes in fibre type, especially away from explosiveness.
@stevemagness The diesels and the cheetahs. Some of us need volume, some need intensity, to improve performance. If you don't get this then you are starting 10m behind the start line.
@lahti_johan@Tier1athlete A strength intervention like ankle isos should carry over to sport performance, positively, even if it is not actually sprinting. I believe when athletes sprint they find their natural rhythms and frequencies from the positions they put themselves in. Not the other way round.
@lahti_johan@Tier1athlete Using wickets for improving SF is too artificial. The athlete may run with > normal SF over wickets but this vid shows an athlete way under-striding. No transfer to an actual sprint race too.
Athletes find their own natural SF based on limb lengths, positions, GRF and fibre type.
@pbasilstrength Amazing how so much of what we measure is defined on saggital numbers, yet so much of elite sport performance and movement, across many codes, is frontal plane dominant in particular.
