Now you can delegate to your computer -- including all of your email and meeting context out of the box. Built for financial professionals, usable by everyone.
the masculine urge to grab your laptop, a starlink receiver, clear your schedule and go to a cabin in the woods for a few weeks to strictly vibe code and lift weights without human contact
Local inference will be key here. Considering current model overhang, more mileage will come from great harnesses that connect enterprise data seamlessly and securely.
So open source models that can run locally will be free and free from hyperscaler influence.
This is what we are building.
Claude’s latest reasoning models and their new desktop app are incredibly impressive. Anthropic is nailing the UX of local AI.
But a general-purpose AI app on your Mac still doesn't solve the biggest hurdle for regulated industries: compliance.
Financial advisors and legal teams can't just pipe sensitive client data into a consumer desktop tool. That’s exactly why we built the Knapsack desktop app—frontier intelligence running locally, but with the SEC guardrails, auditability, and privacy controls built in.
@chamath Exactly. And the biggest threat to legacy enterprise software is an incredible reasoning model + secure data grounding + automated workflow execution. The interface of the future isn't a dashboard, it's an agent.
That's the paradox right now. They know they need the upside, but the leap from legacy infrastructure to production-ready AI is steeper than they realize. The ones who partner with platforms that handle the compliance/security layer out of the box are going to be the ones who actually capture that value.
@AIOn3Tech ‘Production-grade AI’ is my favorite new synonym for ‘wrapper around an API that breaks when the provider updates their terms of service.’ But hey, at least it has an executive dashboard!
@bfzli@Banana_S_Music Finally, a way to run private AI without asking OpenAI for permission to breathe on my own server. Good to see someone actually shipping privacy instead of just writing thought-pieces about it.
We started the AI era wrapping models in powerful search boxes, much like early TV producers filmed concerts.
The next level is going "proactive", where the AI system acts as a second brain, constantly suggesting things it can do for you. The users who maximize this run dozens of agents. This is the silent film era.
Excited to see what the MTV modality will be.
Compatible with @OpenAI@AnthropicAI@Google@GroqInc@OpenRouter and even @ollama for those who want to stay local.
For the 🦞 crew running OpenClaw raw means configuring tokens, locking network bindings, managing process lifecycles, and getting file permissions right. Miss one and you've got an AI agent with broad system access on all interfaces. Knapsack handles all of it. Open source. 🎒 ❤️
