@AvantiWestCoast Are not guaranteeing that the pay deal agreed with @RMTunion will be paid to staff before Christmas. Fears are raising amongst staff that company are stalling so no strikes over Xmas.
@tomcharlesking@LNER The Conductor is in charge of the train and has the right to upgrade for whatever reason. How did you know they were standard class? You got what paid for it’s none of your business what the guard does
@DavidMaidm81730 @AvantiWestCoast So you sat in First class , took all the free food and drink and were shocked you had to pay the first class upgrade. You wouldn’t get that for £25.
@Matt_D_Gibson@AvantiWestCoast That’s the connection to the trains wifi network not the actual internet. The train has a router with a number of SIM cards on it and it’s a shared connection
@Matt_D_Gibson@AvantiWestCoast The train’s routers to provide the wifi is only picking up the same 4G signal you’re trying to connect to. Where do you think the wifi comes from?
@079LV @Scandic_Voice@AvantiWestCoast Get up and go speak to the train manager in coach c, they can adjust it from there instead of sitting there suffering if it’s that bad. Moaning on twitter won’t help
@Redskinblack @AvantiWestCoast Instead of wasting your time tweeting back and forth to someone who can do absolutely nothing to help you sat in an office. Get up , go speak to the guard in coach C and they’ll reset the sockets for you.
@musicispower81 @AvantiWestCoast The speed is capped at 2Mbps per user.. You do realise it’s 4G broadband? It ultimately relies on signal from masts and it’s shared amongst every other passenger.
@MickGibson8@AvantiWestCoast The guy’s made announcements very clear and literally told everyone exactly what’s happened I’m on that train? We’re you not listening?
@AvantiWestCoast@ticketqueen67 Exactly what do you want the TM to do? Magic seats for you out of thin air? You and loads of others have boarded the train without seat reservations. You’ve obvs got a flex ticket so just get off and get the next one?
@FHMLUsteveW @AvantiWestCoast It’s only as good as the 4G signal from the masts it relies on to provide the wifi.
It’s public wifi - no public wifi is secure
@DJAdamDaniel @LNER You’re on a train. It’s not an all inclusive bar. The crew have got 3 carriages of passengers to serve plus people getting on at stops.
@sightwatter That announcement is the TM trying to download the reservations. It can’t download the trip details properly (usually lack of consistent signal) that’s why the displays are showing available.
