Kudos to the train driver who kept us informed as well as he could, even as eventually the power, lighting and PA went out. Also a big thanks to all #tfl and #networkrail staff who helped with the evacuation!
Right time for a PISA thread. I'm going to start by talking about what I think is the most important chart in the report and then make a few other points.
🧈 I made my own butter cake
200g of sugar €0.29
Vanilla extract €0.05
200g rising flour €0.158
4 eggs €0.87
200g butter €1.50
Oven energy €0.40
+=€3.72
This is 20 slices
Cafe here sells 1 buttercake slice for €4
So €80 - €3.72 = 96% profit margin
We can make €76 profit per cake
If we make 1000 cakes per month we can make €76,000/mo profit
What if we make 10,000 cakes
We're pivoting from AI to butter cakes
I just think it is interesting that the lower end of the starting salary for an Associate Professor in Physics at Oxford is £51k, and the starting salary for an intro data science job is around £55k.

spasm. To de-spasm that circuit, inhale maximally (via your nose) 3 times with no exhales in between. Then hold your breath for 15-30 seconds & then slowly exhale (via your mouth). Done.
The famous "36 questions that lead to love"... don't. The NYT and everyone else reported a different set of questions from the same authors, modified to be less romantic! The original set of *40* questions wasn't online, but I emailed the authors and got a copy. Details in 🧵
