STARBUCKS’ HUGE STREAK OF UNION-BUSTING ILLEGALITIES — In 48 out of 49 cases they’ve decided so far on Starbucks, the NLRB’s labor law judges found that Starbucks was guilty of anti-union illegalities.
Starbucks is holding a North America Barista Championship, but isn't allowing its union baristas to participate. The company claims it's a benefit that must be bargained.
"It's really petty," a barista tells me.
The winner gets a trip to Costa Rica.

About 40 Wisconsin #Teamsters at Leinenkugel’s Brewery have been on strike since July 10 in a fight to get @MolsonCoors to quit its greedy, hardball tactics and give these workers a fair contract. #1u
HUGE win for us that is incredibly validating for Starbucks workers here. Starbucks has been ordered to cease & desist, and several of our beloved and key organizers are being reinstated & made whole.
We look forward to Howard Schultz testifying in front of the US Senate. As the architect of Starbucks' unprecedented anti-union campaign, it is high time for him to be held accountable for his actions. Howard Schultz needs to learn that even billionaires aren't above the law ❗️
Unfortunately, Howard Schultz has given us no choice, but to subpoena him. A multi-billion dollar corporation like Starbucks cannot continue to break federal labor law with impunity. The time has come to hold Starbucks and Mr. Schultz accountable.
