Retired Fire Department Captain. Have studied the AGW/Climate Change/Climate Emergency, since 2008. Common sense, reading claims vs science make up my opinions.
@NRDC Strip mining thousands of acres, to extract lithium is a huge ecologic disaster in the making. To extract oil, simply put a pipe in the ground, and suck it out! Clear-cutting forests to create a solar field is also a disaster!
Yes... 1.7 to 2.3 milliseconds per hundred years from tidal friction (the Moons gravitational pull). There are 1,000 milliseconds in one second. So around 2 thousandths of a single second. Is Forbes pushing a climate scare agenda? How can a number this small actually be measured?
@ClimateBen From what I've read... the tropics are not getting warmer. Temps at the poles show a small increase. As they have during previous climate cycles.
@washingtonpost How many times in the past, has there been a cold patch of water in the North Atlantic? The current cold blob has been with us since 1900. This from Science Daily... so, it's nothing new!
@ember_energy From what I've researched, (so called) green power is far too inefficient, and dirty, to replace fossil fuel power generation! People like you, never post the many failings of "renewable" power sources! As more and more power is needed, all sources are welcome... and necessary.
@BiatchDulce Socialism has failed everywhere it's been tried... that some countries force socialism on their citizens is a sad reality. Isn't that it works... and only those in power are somehow wealthy! It isn't a better system... only different!
Much of the renewable claims seem to be theoretical only Senator. Or the technology may be developed sometime in the future! Lets see how renewables fare without the massive subsidies they now enjoy! Time for you to actually stop funding those far left ideas... let the market decide not a bunch of know nothing politicians!
@sumuelahi Show us the studies that support your theory Elahi! I've looked for 18 years... haven't seen a single study that supports the "overheating" statement. Earth was warmer for most of the last 5,000 years!
@AssaadRazzouk Not exactly what is occurring Razzouk! There will probably be a balance energy system that includes a bit of solar and wind, some hydro and geothermal where available, some fossil fuels and nuclear sources.
@TheDisproof And Sir David is complicit because of his false documentaries about the "changing climate"... which has always changed in the past... and will in the future... long after we humans are gone!
