All this observational investment in exoplanets for #JWSTCycle2... but nobody wants to look at me? COME ON. The TRAPPIST-1 system is just a bunch of rocks, but I'm SUPERNATURAL!
#Proximab I'm still waiting for last year's Christmas card. I hear #WASP39b sent all the other WASP planets chocolates.
Family isn't everything - vote #WASP39b!
(Chocolates please? I promise you can post to the netherworld!)
🚨 #ExoCup2022 FINAL! 🚨
Which #exoplanet will be crowned 👑 the champion of 2022 & take the trophy🏆?
#WASP39b a low density giant w/ a jam packed atmosphere of molecules
OR
#Proximab our coolest nearest neighbour
We are gonna need some science with these ones so get sharing!
WoooOoooOOOoOooOoo! Happy Halloween 🎃
Going trick or treating later - @NASAWebb JWST you’d better have some good chocolate ready otherwise that lovely shiny golden mirror is getting egged…
WoooOOooOOOOooo! Happy Halloween exoplanet Twitter! Kill a few more planets for me this year, yeah? The social scene in the netherworld is getting a bit thin - if I have to hear one more of Fomalhaut’s ‘eye of Sauron’ stories…
@WD1856_534b A compelling argument. And Proxima b hasn’t sent me a Christmas card since 2015. Same excuse every year about the state of the netherworld postal service but I’m not buying it.
@MartianColonist@WD1856_534b WooooOoooooOoooooOooo
Over here!
(Actually @WD1856_534b has already followed me. But EVERYONE ELSE needs to know about me too! Dead planets are still planets!)
WooooOOoooOOoooo I’m back, haunting you all!!! Cower, brief mortals!!!
Yeah... I’m just not as scary as 2020 am I? I’ll be back next year...
Happy Hallowe’en!
💀 Dead galaxies!
☢️ Radiation bursts!
👻 Ghostly matter!

Proxima c, a word of advice. Don’t trust astronomers. They build you up, make you feel really special, and then they KILL YOU. Take it from someone who knows.
It's rare that I drop expletives here, but sometimes it's justified.
Holy shit.
Astronomers may have imaged Proxima c, a super-Earth/mini-Neptune in a frigid orbit at our Sun's nearest neighbor, Proxima Centauri. And it might have a *huge* ring system.

@girlandkat WoooOOooooOOOoooooo! You're blaming me for this? I didn't ask to be discovered (and then callously killed), but here I am, in my lonely corner of the netherworld, haunting Twitter, watching all the living planets compete in the #ExoCup2019...
Someone pass me a tissue?
WooOOoooOoooOooOOOo!!!!
Happy Halloween to all beings of Twitter: alive, dead, or undead.
Also, can someone please hurry up and kill off Proxima Centauri c? Would love a bit of company in this part of the planetary netherworld. I've got toffee apples.
Wait a minute... where's mine?
This is vitalism, pure and simple. Even at Halloween, only the living planets get the attention.
*Sad woooOOooooOOooOooo*
It's heeeeeerrrrrrreee!
Our Galaxy of Horrors is LIVE (or undead, depending on how you look at it).

Welcome to the exoplanetary netherworld, my friends. Happy to offer advice on haunting techniques. Including 1) Always sign off with WoooOOOoooOOOooooOOoo
After killing my favorite Kepler planet, Kepler 452b (used to be closest Earth analog), now Kepler 186f (Earth size in Habitable Zone of an M dwarf) is gone too... Updates in Burke et al. https://t.co/9mwgnlCYX9
