Oh my God my Grindr was untouched for five years. A time capsule from when I was a sugar baby for a son of a police chief... Really dark times but damn I looked good. I was twenty pounds lighter then too... Now I'm almost 28 and on my own. But surviving still.
It blows my mind that liberal supporters of Israel still just write this stuff off like "yeah those guys are terrorists" and "I don't support that" and "most Israelis don't support this" when it's stuff you simply cannot do without the state tacitly allowing it.
I find it odd that more disabled people aren’t communists and that more communists don’t talk about disability. Becoming an impoverished second class citizen due to a disability looms over every worker’s head. It unites us across every intersection.
I've always told people in Texas that California's progressive reputation is undeserved. Its liberal politicians are expert at paying lip service to identity issues, but its a state ruthlessly run, top-to-bottom, by real estate, tech, and finance capital
People asking why we need Pride.
Oh no reason, just that I want to walk down the street without:
- Being verbally abused
- Having things thrown at me
- Fearing for my life every day as people threaten to hurt or kill me
I don't think that's asking much really.
We are going up against the most violent and well armed empire to have ever existed and there are thousands of people on this app who sincerely think (and actively try to convince others!!!) we don’t need organization to take that on. We can “autonomously” take on the empire.
i find the narrative "trans people groom kids into being trans" to be especially frustrating because every trans person i know says being trans is a miserable existence and wouldn't wish it on anyone else
Lowkey me in every relationship bc I have terminal anxiety and just kinda need them to force themselves on me or make it overwhelmingly verbally clear to actually get anything done
It wasn’t just Amazon that killed these, Private Equity also killed these stores by using leveraged buyouts.
They let the company assume hundreds of millions, or even billions in debt, which it could not possibly keep up with, and that’s why they had to close.
