@IhabHassane I wonder why on earth would Israel waste time and resources on creating hundreds of unnecessary checkpoints?
Haven't they got their hands full in Iran and Lebanon?
Unless they are necessary.
Whatever could be the reason?
If you don't stop your terrorists, Israel has to.
@savedmefrmhamas@aziz0nomics The 1947 UN plan offered two states. Jewish leaders accepted, creating Israel. Arab leaders rejected it, refusing a Jewish state. This pattern—from 1937 to 2008—is why one side has sovereignty and the other does not. There is no symmetry when one side consistently chose "no."
@Jonathan_Elk@EinatWilf מאחר ושיתפת.
@savedmefrmhamas@aziz0nomics Israel wants to live, preferably in peace.
Palestinians want the state of Israel to die, preferably along with its inhabitants.
Those are both sides’ points of principle - to quote Ernest Bevin in his 1947 report to Churchill on the failure of the British Mandate. (Lookitup)
@savedmefrmhamas@aziz0nomics Not before they did their worst and convinced any Israelis still in doubt that the pillar of Palestinian identity is getting rid of them all.
@CotlerWunsh@SethAMandel@Commentary these days “[y]ou can have rooted for Oct. 7 and still be a public figure, a fancy professor, etc.” The challenge, then: “We have to figure out how to act in a world where this is so.”
Or: Jews have to figure out how to live with the Nazis.
We can't. We shouldn't. We won't.
