Ieri il Parlamento europeo ha votato per far passare con procedura d'urgenza il cosiddetto Chat Control: 331 favorevoli, 304 contrari.

Ancora una volta ci raccontano che è "per proteggere i bambini". Hanno davvero rotto i coglioni.

Ogni volta il copione è identico. Se vuoi più controllo tiri fuori una categoria che nessuno osa mettere in discussione. I pedofili. I minori. Durante il Covid gli anziani. Domani sarà qualcos'altro.

Il problema non è perseguire i criminali. Quello è sacrosanto.

Il problema è normalizzare l'idea che le comunicazioni private possano essere sottoposte a controlli sempre più invasivi, e che chiunque osi chiedere limiti e garanzie venga trattato come se fosse dalla parte dei criminali.

Le libertà non spariscono da un giorno all'altro. Si restringono un pezzo alla volta, sempre con una motivazione che sembra inattaccabile.

Se questa è la direzione che l'Europa vuole prendere, sta scegliendo un modello di sorveglianza sempre più invasivo. E quando un'infrastruttura del genere esiste, non puoi sapere come verrà usata fra qualche anno, né da chi.

Giovedì ci sarà il voto decisivo. Speriamo che qualcuno si ricordi che la privacy non è un privilegio dei criminali... Ma un cazzo di diritto dei cittadini.

La Corte di Giustizia dell'Unione europea ha stabilito che condividere i contenuti di Russia Today o di qualsiasi altra emittente russa oggetto di sanzioni, indipendentemente dalla natura del contenuto, è un reato. Detta in altri termini, nella liberissima e democraticissima UE, un privato cittadino che pubblica sul proprio sito web un video di RT dedicato all'allevamento degli storioni... Si prende il rischio di finire in tribunale.

Germany just passed a law that can land regular people in prison for liking, sharing, or commenting on stuff from media outlets banned in Europe. Like Russia Today, for example. Pretty soon it could be Xinhua, or X itself, or American conservative outlets — the pro-MAGA, pro-Trump ones. Doesn’t matter if what they’re saying is true or total bullshit (disinfo and hate speech are already covered by the DSA anyway). Doesn’t even matter what the actual content is — could be someone reviewing the new Anna Karenina movie. What matters is that you’re giving any kind of support to the source. You’re just not allowed to amplify anything that comes from a banned outlet.
Back in Ceaușescu’s time, if they caught you listening to Radio Free Europe or Voice of America, you were going to jail. In ’89 we were dreaming about finally having the freedom to listen to those stations, to talk about them, to share what they were saying. We wanted the freedom to watch or read something that wasn’t just the nightly news sucking up to the beloved leader. And now, right when we were finally starting to get used to that normal kind of freedom, here come the “civilized” lawmakers from the EU to drag us right back to how things used to be.
You know that Ray Bradbury book about totalitarianism, Fahrenheit 451? They burn books the government doesn’t like. So people memorize them just so the books don’t disappear completely, so they can pass them on to the next generation.
It’s not like we’re all brain-dead and about to swallow Putin’s propaganda wholesale. But replacing one kind of authoritarian bullshit with another still feels pretty gross. Especially when, compared to these EU laws, a lot of people might start thinking Putin, Xi, or Kim Jong Un are just regular authoritarian leaders — no better or worse than the top EU bureaucrats.

The German law ended up in front of the CJEU. And in this recent ruling that’s honestly embarrassing — both in how it’s written and what it’s actually trying to do in a place that keeps bragging about freedom of speech — the court said the law is totally fine constitutionally. Because, they said, you have to make the bans actually work. If people were still allowed to like, share, or comment on posts from the banned outlets (or even on other people’s posts about them), then the bans wouldn’t be effective anymore.
Doesn’t matter that it’s Russia Today right now. Could just as easily be Al Jazeera or Fox News the day the European Soviet Union decides to ban them too. And I’m not even exaggerating — Macron actually wants to ban X in France (same way China and Russia banned Facebook), and Starmer, even after stepping down as UK Prime Minister, pushed to force YouTube to push legacy media content first (the “honest” BBC and all that), or else YouTube gets banned in Britain.
And guess what? Because this is a CJEU decision, we’re probably getting these exact same “go to jail for liking stuff” laws in Romania very soon too.

Il primo luglio 2026 rischia di passare alla storia come una di quelle date enormi che, però, non fanno rumore.

Non ci sono carri armati per strada. Non ci sono sommosse. E tutto sommato, manco un vero dibattito. C’è solo una norma tecnica, burocratica, apparentemente innocua, che passa in sordina: per i nuovi assunti del settore privato, il TFR finirà automaticamente nella previdenza complementare, salvo rinuncia esplicita entro 60 giorni.

Sembra una faccenda da consulenti del lavoro. Una noisissima pratica amministrativa.

E invece è un fatto storico.

Perché il TFR non è un regalo. Non è una gentile concessione dell’azienda. È salario differito. Soldi dei lavoratori. Una piccola diga conquistata pezzetto dopo pezzetto nel tempo contro l’incertezza e contro il ricatto permanente di un mercato del lavoro sempre più feroce.

Da oggi quella diga diventa un pezzo del gigantesco Schema Ponzi su cui si regge l’intera economia occidentale.

L’economia dell’Occidente collettivo, oggi, è appesa alla bolla finanziaria americana. Una bolla costruita in decenni di globalizzazione a guida USA, centralità del dollaro, dominio militare, controllo delle catene del valore, rendite monopolistiche, debito e mercati azionari gonfiati dalla certezza che, alla fine, il mondo si sarebbe continuato a piegare agli interessi di Washington e di Wall Street.

Per cinquant’anni questo meccanismo ha funzionato perché dietro c’era l’unipolarismo statunitense. C’era l’idea che gli Stati Uniti fossero il centro indiscusso del sistema mondiale. Che le Borse americane, tra una crisi e l’altra, fossero comunque destinate a salire. Che l’impero, in un modo o nell’altro, avrebbe sempre garantito il valore degli asset denominati in dollari.

Ma quel mondo sta arrivando al capolinea.

Non sappiamo esattamente come. Non sappiamo quando.

Ma una cosa la sappiamo: la crescita infinita dei mercati finanziari occidentali sotto l’ombrello dell’unipolarismo USA non è più una prospettiva realistica. È il passato. E proprio mentre quel mondo si incrina, cosa fanno? Prendono il TFR dei lavoratori italiani e lo spingono dentro la macchina finanziaria che ha bisogno disperato di nuovo carburante.

È questo il punto politico.

Il tuo TFR invece che tutelare te, deve tutelare Wall Street. E’ un respiratore attaccato al polmone di un paziente già cerebralmente morto. E il prezzo lo paghi tu.
