@nw_krtc sir, kindly arrange an additional Airavat Club Class bus service between Pune & Hubballi on 11th Sept 26, considering the high passenger demand during the long weekend for Ganesh Chaturti. The reqular service is already completed sold out. @PriyangaMadhan@KSRTC_Journeys
@KSRTC_Journeys@Girishdmane@nw_krtc@PriyangaMadhan On occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi there will be a significant increase in passenger movement. We request @nw_krtc to arrange additional bus services on this route during the festival period to facilitate the public and avoid overcrowding. Thank you for your consideration & support.
Today, I had a constructive meeting with the Managing Director of Hubballi-Dharwad BRTS, Smt. Savitri Kadi, along with the BRTS General Manager and other BRTS officials, Hubballi-Dharwad DCP (Crime & Traffic) Sri Raveesh C. R., other officials from the Traffic Police Department, and HDMC officials at the BRTS Office, Hubballi.
We discussed the issues I had raised regarding road humps, streetlights, junctions, signal timing, and a few other suggestions. Regarding bus operations and new routes, NWKRTC is the appropriate corporation to provide further information.
Some key points discussed:
1. Road humps: The MD informed me that DULT has approved the proposal to redesign the humps across the BRTS corridor as per IRC standards. The work is expected to begin once the monsoon recedes. I also raised the issue of the two rubber humps opposite the Police Commissioner’s Office. The Traffic DCP explained that, following multiple accidents over a short span, including one involving a PSI, the humps were requested as an urgent temporary measure. These will also be redesigned by BRTS as part of the redesign.
2. Streetlights: BRTS is replacing worn-out wiring, and the work has already started in phases from Hubballi side and will continue towards Dharwad.
3. Signal timing: I suggested synchronisation of signals located within a short distance of each other and also highlighted insufficient right-turn signal time at some junctions. BRTS responded positively and said they would work on these issues along with the Traffic Police.
I also shared a few other suggestions, including the removal of weeds along barricades for better maintenance and beautification, stricter measures against private vehicles entering or waiting near the BRTS lane despite the boom barriers, and UPS backup at BRTS bus stations.
I pointed out that some private vehicles wait near the boom barriers until a Chigari bus approaches. The MD informed us that BRTS is planning to redesign the boom barrier system and also noted that several barriers have been damaged after being hit by vehicles. The officials responded positively to these suggestions.
A special thanks to DULT Commissioner Sri Manivannan
@Captain_Mani72 and his team members, Smt. Monica and Sri Shamanth, for taking up the concerns and facilitating the discussion with the concerned authorities.
As a regular BRTS commuter, my intention has always been to see the system improve for commuters and the public. I thank all the officials for patiently hearing the concerns and discussing possible solutions.

Thanks for considering the much-needed #Superfast service between Bengaluru & Mumbai @Tejasvi_Surya@AshwiniVaishnaw 🙏
We request @RailMinIndia@Tejasvi_Surya@AshwiniVaishnaw to kindly review the timings, journey hours & frequency of this train before its introduction.
🔹 Timings: Arrival in Mumbai & Bengaluru should ideally be early morning.
🔹 Journey hours: Travel time should preferably be under 18 hrs.
🔹 Frequency: The service should run daily considering the huge demand.
We hope these points will be taken into account to ensure a more efficient & passenger-friendly service on this vital corridor. Thank you @SWRRLY@Central_Railway@drmsbc@drmmumbaicr
Dear @SWRRLY Please announce special trains during the Ganesh Festival for the benefit of thousands of people from North Karnataka working in Mumbai and Pune, who visit their home during Ganesh Chaturthi Festival. 🙏
@drmubl@JoshiPralhad@JagadishShettar
It’s high time our elected MPs from #Bengaluru answer a pressing question: When will the city get a dedicated superfast train to #Mumbai with a travel time of less than 19 hours?
Despite being two major metro cities, Bengaluru–Mumbai rail connectivity remains outdated. The existing daily dedicated Udyan Express takes nearly 22 to 24 hours and was introduced way back on July 1, 1984
A dedicated superfast train with limited halts can bring down travel time to under 19 hours benefiting lakhs of passengers.
We urge @RailMinIndia@AshwiniVaishnaw@VSOMANNA_BJP and Bengaluru MPs @PCMohanMP@ShobhaBJP@Tejasvi_Surya@DrCNManjunath to raise this demand in Parliament and ensure that the IT capital gets at least decent, dedicated train connectivity - something it truly deserves to financial capital. @JoshiPralhad@hd_kumaraswamy@PMOIndia
Requesting Hon'ble Railway Minister @AshwiniVaishnaw@VSOMANNA_BJP for kind support towards key train services crucial for Karnataka's connectivity and public convenience. Your attention to our long-pending demands will greatly benefit the people of the state.

📢 As per South Western Railway's Press Release (16.05.2025), all day train services on the Sakleshpur - Subrahmanya Road section will be suspended from June 1 to November 1, 2025, due to safety & electrification work. Multiple trains between Yesvantpur, Mangaluru & Karwar will remain cancelled. 🚫🚆
This move halts all day services between Bengaluru & Coastal Karnataka during the critical monsoon period, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. Many rely on these routes for essential travel, especially when roads are vulnerable to landslides. 🌧️🛤️
We urge @SWRRLY@CaptBrijesh@KotasBJP to consider running at least one daily service in each direction between Bengaluru–Mangaluru–Karwar using two rakes, by adjusting block hours in the Ghat section. Passenger convenience must remain a priority even during essential infrastructure upgrades. 🙏 @AshwiniVaishnaw@RailMinIndia@DrmMys@drmsbc@KonkanRailway@DRMPalghat

@JoshiPralhad @CaptBrijesh @yaduveerwadiyar @SWRRLY
@VSOMANNA_BJP@SWRRLY
Sir, @MBPatil@VSOMANNA_BJP The already sanctioned Gadag - Yelavagi railway line will significantly reduce travel time between Bengaluru and the Vijayapura region. Currently, the train journey between these two cities takes around 13 to 16 hours. By implementing this new line, the total journey time can be reduced drastically.
It is crucial for both the state and central governments to prioritise this new railway line for the benefit of travelers. @RailMinIndia@SWRRLY
Passengers from Kalyana Karnataka are struggling to reach Bengaluru due to limited train options. The video below shows the daily crowd at Kalaburagi station waiting for Udyan Express, which has limited seats since it originates from Mumbai.
We urge @RailMinIndia and @AshwiniVaishnaw@VSOMANNA_BJP to introduce a daily Bidar–Kalaburagi–Bengaluru train to address this pressing need. A dedicated service will benefit thousands-especially students, workers, and middle-class families who rely on affordable travel.
This long-pending demand will greatly ease travel from North Karnataka to the state capital. Kindly consider and act at the earliest. @SagarKhandre12@IamGKumarNaik@Central_Railway@SCRailwayIndia@SWRRLY@PMOIndia
