I lived in Hungary for several years under the Orbán dictatorship.

The funny thing was, people could and did say whatever came into their heads, protests were held in front of the parliament, there was a gay cruise bar down the road and Orbán held elections.

And yet, the country was a dictatorship.

Whereas in the UK, people tend to be distinctly guarded and if they do say the wrong thing very publicly, they get locked up.

And yet, it's a free country.

Once you understand that words can mean whatever we want them to mean, it begins to make sense.

Our world is heading towards a conflict, the likes of which we have never seen. A war that will impact every corner of our planet.

And there is not a damn thing that can be done to stop it.

We call on our countries for “remigration” and “deportation”, but even if they did, that’s just scratching the surface. The illegal immigrants and people who are subject to deportation are a small number of the invaders that are here in our countries. Many are here legally and with citizenship. And many more are coming in all the time.

We are currently being out-bred here in our countries in astronomical numbers. Nothing is going to slow down the reproduction of those here to conquer us, and nothing seems to be increasing the output of everyone else.

Having elections – even if we were to elect governments right of center, or even far right of center – isn’t going to help. It’s far too late for that. The forces that wish to destroy us are here. In our cities, in our countries. They have positions in education, in government, in law enforcement and the judiciary. They’re embedded in every fabric of our society, making decisions, helping to form policy and law. Policy and law that will be used to enable them to take over.

Loudspeakers will be installed, and we will hear calls for prayer 5 times a day in cities and towns across our countries.

Each election, Western nations will see more and more Islamists being elected. There will be formations of Muslim parties at all levels of governments, and they will begin to win seats. They will become official opposition, form minority governments, and eventually majority governments. They will change laws. Freedoms and democracies will be removed. Sharia law will prevail.

People have been trying to sound the alarm for years on what is coming, and many tuned them out, ignored them, disbelieved them.

Now, finally, the conquerors are telling us themselves what they intend to do.

They’re telling us because they believe they’ve reached a point where they can’t be stopped. They feel they have the numbers and the support to carry out their invasion successfully.

They have stated they will do it by bullet or by ballot.

They will outvote everyone else to elect their own people, their own parties, implement their own laws.

They will conquer us by ballots.

And if we resist, they will turn to bullets.

These aren’t my words. They’re theirs.

This isn’t hyperbole or fear-mongering. It’s what they’ve told us. It’s what they’ve done elsewhere. It’s what they’ve been doing for 1400 years. It’s what they intend to keep doing, over and over and over again until they have it all.

This is what their god wants of them.

This is what their god demands of them.

And there are tens of millions of people who are committed to following that god.

Do we have a chance?

We’re quickly losing the opportunity to beat them by ballot, because we are not unified in our understanding of the threat, and too many don’t have the political wherewithal to deal with it. Our governments are splintered and corrupt. People get elected and then don’t follow through on promises.

Each election cycle, the votes against freedom and democracy will grow, as the votes for freedom and democracy shrink – this is just the changing demographics of our nations, based on reproduction rates.

So, it will come down to bullets.

It will be ugly.

It will be devastating.

There will be massive losses on both sides.

And there’s no guarantee who will be standing when it’s done

Julien, you defamed me by saying I was a "security threat" when I was attempting to get my commit bit back. A commit bit which was taken despite my thousands of hours and 18k+ contributions to the NixOS ecosystem. A commit bit which was taken despite me never violating the CoC or the Nix Core Values. My ban and removal as the 24.05 NixOS Release Manager came as such a shock that the moderation team felt obligated to post a 1400 word response to my ban.

What were my sins?
Applying to be a board observer.
Objecting to discrimination based upon someone's sexual preferences/identity (which a moderator made into a thread)
Posting an "everything is political" comment which was so badly taken out of context that the moderators later deleted my post.

Everything I did for the community was to transition Nix from a "niche interesting technology" to a "mainstream powerhouse". However, I don't believe we share the same vision. I'm convinced you and orbiters want to keep the Nix community in a perpetual state of chaos so that you can justify any action to serve your political motivations. In the mentioned blog post of yours, you say "things are less dire than I feared". Who says this if they want the Nix community to thrive?

But that's the thing, I don't think you have the well-being of the community at heart. I think you are using Nix as a platform to see your own political agenda.

You, hexa/mweinelt, janik, @delroth, @piegames_de, @Ra1t0_Bezar1us, @joepie91, @samueldr, and other conspirators need to stop treating Nix as a social club that you can exclude people by bullying and moderation. I will commend you all and others on your ability to manipulate otherwise well-intentioned members in the community; being able to meet your goals wouldn't be possible without it. But your actions and the actions of others have done nothing but divide and tear at the fabric of what was once a healthy FOSS community.

The real tragedy is that myself, Eelco (creator of Nix), the RFC 175 authors, the 2023-2024 foundation board and the 2025 SC members are all victims in your little political game of "see how much defamation and verbal abuse people can take until they break". Speaking only for myself, I struggled with depression for a long time after my ban, but I'm sure I'm not alone in that either. So what you're doing isn't victimless and even the community image has been tarnished. NixOS is now the FOSS face of "purge the nazis"/antifa language, biased moderation, and constant drama. Thanks to you and your cabal of deluded activists.

If you feel like using me as ammunition for your little SC campaign, go for it. But I think the world sees through your facade of righteousness. I just hope that others don't become collateral for your political goals.

Python is such a great user experience for AI.

I can really see how it took over the world.

You get the joy of installing and reinstalling the same packages with minor variations in cuda support.

Then you get twenty minutes of being told argument after argument is deprecated and that your code will break in 1-2 versions, half of which are being invoked transitively by third-party code you are invoking. disable_exllama? No !use_exllama. Forgot to disable_exllama er.. not use_exllama? No weights for you.

Once you suffer through that workflow, you can start iterating at a rate of half an hour to a day for each run of converting a model to another format, only to get a runtime error at the end that, say, 'quantize' method doesn't exist any more, thanks to transformers taking on that part, but then the 'save_quantized' method that is in all the tutorials doesn't exist anymore, so that part is also bunk.

Now you're 8 hours into a 20 minute project, but you didn't have to deal with any type errors, so I guess you've got that going for you.
