@jeffdeist@DarrenBNelson Those making disastrous decisions are, in fact, unserious. But their unseriousness seems more a byproduct of their main defect - delusion. They literally can't "see" no matter how many facts are put in front of them. At root, our problems are spiritual, not political.
@chrismartenson Not unreasonable to hypothesize that what is going on is a pretext for a controlled demolition of an unsustainable debt-based system. A "Great Reset" , paired with a "Great Taking". If that's the case, something kinetic is likely to happen 'here' as part of the cover story.
@ukboomers Alfie should learn the difference between "needs" and "wants". Alfie "needs" a place to get 8 hours of sleep to relax between two eight hour jobs. Alfie "wants" a status symbol to show off his high tech blender and chai collection. No money needed for a sleep under the stars.
@gobills11111@aeberman12 FWIW, I'm currently on a road trip in the western US. Spent the last two days at the Grand Canyon. Parking lots there were at least 2/3 empty...which shocked me for early June. Auto fuel prices clearly are putting some kind of dent in that kind of demand.
@aeberman12 Well put. If you are correct here -and you may well be - I sure would not want to be long a whole lot of stocks in some industries that are red hot right now.
@aeberman12 I genuinely appreciate and have great respect for your contributions to this important topic. So can you please clarify what the implications of this are? That demand destruction is occuring so quickly that the economy will hit the wall before we hit tank bottom?
@chrismartenson@willchamberlain@POTUS It's shocking to see the number of people who seem genuinely surprised that someone might dane to shoot back at you after you shoot at them first.
@Skip_1951@PunkyCovfefe Only you can decide. But a smart friend once told me that while everything you say about working another year is true, it will also be true a year from now. And a year from then. He said "just remember: we only live so long. It all comes off of the back end".
@ukboomers So sad. He thinks that by 'living rich' - wearing premium shoes, paying extra for add-ons like window views and for ceilings that soar some two feet above his actual height - he has "arrived". All I see is a money pit with a place to rest instead of work. Time to trim the fat!
@ukboomers Well, you could make the donation in Alfie's name. That would show him that your not giving him money directly isn't above not loving him. Better yet, Margaret could instead buy a new dressage horse and name it "George Floyd" as a living tribute to the Great Man...
@timburchett Tell Jim Jordan about it. He'll no doubt send a strongly-worded letter and send out a few well crafted tweets on the subject. Maybe even hold a consequence-free hearing about it, too...
@ukboomers Lack of respect for the dead? βοΈ. Personal belongings okay only so long as they are THEIRS? βοΈ. Spend 400/night on lodging then whine and complain they can't patch together a down payment? βοΈ. I believe we might just have a Millennial on our hands...
Look at this.
Last November, we posted this video on a suspicious purchase of Viasat stock by a member of Congress.
$VSAT is now up 1,146% since our reports.
Not a typo.
