@Sina_21st Vitalik et al can’t force a hard fork. They can engineer one and see if the node operators and validators choose to adopt it. If the community chooses to adopt the fork, then it was the will of many people representing what is probably almost every country in the world.
@BenjaminDEKR Hoping @elonmusk's "That's weird" response results in positive action. Hard to reconcile him openly discussing it's coming light years ahead of your comment with the company threatening to fire you.
From Politico to the BBC, it's alarming to see that what's touted as independent journalism is an extension of the US government. This manipulation erodes trust in the media and distorts the crucial flow of information.
I stand with anyone willing to expose the uncomfortable truths about our government's overreach. I am grateful that this was Trump's first mission. It's time for the American people to truly understand the extent of what their government has become.
Transparency, transparency, transparency.
@APompliano Global warming people aren’t the scientists talking about climate change. Real scientists talk about climate change, which means that not all areas will experience increases. Eg if glaciers melt and drive down the Atlantic current you’d see some places cool and others heat up.
@elonmusk Federal downsizing in effect. Don’t make the fairness claim. That’s stupid. Life isn’t fair. If you believed in fairness you’d not have a half trillion dollar net worth.
@floydwebb@elonmusk A boycott isn’t censorship. A boycott is a consumer driven choice not to engage. Nobody is restricting Wikipedias ability to exist on the internet and produce propaganda, unlike what happened to right wing sites and apps a few years back. Those were simply removed by force.
@mpawlo@elonmusk@creativecommons Anybody can edit, but that doesn’t mean their edit will be accepted dumbass. It’s common for the Wikipedia editors to reject edits for nearly any reason, including disagreement. This, Elon’s comment.
@TexasPharmD@DrByronHapner@UHC Protip: You'll often find that doctors will use the brand name and prescribe the generic because it's easier top use fewer syllables.
@DrByronHapner@UHC@GoodRx has been doing more good for healthcare than any recent innovation I'm aware of, specifically because of BS like this. It's often easier just to not run medications through insurance, and shockingly the coupon price will often be less than the copay.
@n30n_41@jasonjoyride@goforward Exactly. The care pod is all something a person can do at home with a tape measure and a few inexpensive items. The care pod was standard Silicon Valley showmanship. So much wasted money. End of the day, they still need a treating provider.
@idummkopp@marcosdoval@elonmusk@xai Oh, you sure sound like both a Brazilian legal expert and a hero and nothing at all like a neck-beard living in Xer mother's basement.
Elon Musk did not violate the Constitution. On the contrary, he honored Article 5 and Article 53 of our Constitution. Article 5 guarantees every Brazilian the freedom of expression and thought, as long as it is not done anonymously. Article 53 protects senators and deputies for their words, votes, and opinions, ensuring that they are not held accountable for crimes related to their parliamentary functions. In other words, there is no law in Brazil that speaks of censorship, much less prior censorship. This is not provided for in our Constitution or any law in Brazil.
However, we are already living under censorship, a dictatorship, and this coup d’état is consolidating.
By not complying with an illegal court order that required him to disrespect the Constitution, Musk was penalized by Alexandre de Moraes with daily fines. The minister, instead of protecting the Constitution, disrespected it, threatening to imprison Musk’s employees if the fines were not paid. To protect his team, Musk withdrew his employees from Brazil.
Now, Alexandre de Moraes is using the Marco Civil da Internet, a lower-ranking law, to justify the blocking of assets and accounts of other companies, claiming they were committing crimes against Brazilian law. He uses this lower law as a basis for his arbitrary actions, ignoring the Federal Constitution.
To make it clear, there is a hierarchy of laws in Brazil:
1.Federal Constitution: The Constitution, the highest law in the country, which must be followed and respected by everyone, including the Supreme Federal Court (STF).
https://t.co/TYOfTsX03V (such as the Penal Code, Civil Code, etc.): General laws that regulate specific areas of law.
3.Ordinary and Complementary Laws: Norms that address specific themes and are hierarchically inferior to the Codes.
4.Regulations and Decrees: Administrative norms that detail and regulate the application of laws.
5.Internal Regulations: Specific norms for the functioning of public bodies, such as the internal regulations of the National Congress.
The Marco Civil da Internet falls under the category of Ordinary Laws and cannot override the Constitution. The role of the STF is to be the guardian of the Constitution, not of lower laws like the Marco Civil da Internet. What we are witnessing is a severe distortion of the hierarchy of laws and a violation of constitutional principles. The truth is that Alexandre de Moraes is violating the Constitution and punishing those who comply with it. We cannot accept these arbitrary actions.
Let’s spread this information!

@StatisticUrban "Republicans are the party of the rich" /s
I'm not sure that message says what you think it does. It just invalidates a primary position of the Democrats.
@SenWarren They're operating on like 1% profit margins. You just printed 30-40% more money, meaning peoples own money's purchasing power shrunk by a similar value. Who is responsible?
You're literally the worst (or stupidest, but I doubt that) American gov has to offer.
@ylecun@elonmusk He said "free speech in the US is special". He did not say, no other country has speech protection that can be classified as similar to US free speech.
