1. Keep moving, never stop
2. Challenge your brain constantly: what do you know today that you didn’t know 6 months ago?
3. Maintain muscle mass. Sarcopenia (muscle loss) actually kicks in age 30, and dramatically accelerates after 60
4. Avoid social isolation, maximize social activities (unless it’s never been your thing)
5. Understand that Insulin Resistance is even more damaging after a certain age, and closely linked with excessive body fat percentage. Every disease out there is linked to having too much insulin floating around in your body.
All of the above are natural methods. You can certainly (and statistically are more likely) to get sucked into the medical-industrial complex and more drugs/doctor visits— but you can always be the OUTLIER!

Black pudding has been made in the British Isles for at least a thousand years. Possibly two. The Romans wrote about something almost identical. It is one of the oldest preparations of food on this island still in active use.
The recipe is simple. Fresh pig's blood, oats or barley, diced pork fat, onion, salt, pepper, mace. Mixed thick, stuffed into a casing, gently poached.
What this gives you is one of the most nutrient-dense foods that has ever existed: iron in heme form, B12, zinc, selenium, fat-soluble vitamins, and a kind of mineral density that no plant food can match.
Bury black pudding is the most famous, made the same way since 1820. Stornoway is protected by name. Both are still made by hand in small numbers.
Then there is the supermarket version, built from dried blood powder reconstituted with water, bulked with palm oil and emulsifiers, and tasting of a damp coaster. The genuine article is one of the most iron-dense foods on the planet. The imitation is brown filler shaped like the real thing.
The recipe (small batch):
- 500ml fresh pig's blood.
