Look carefully at the figures. 1% of humanity is displaced. This is not some minor issue, and the number is growing. Displaced people often lack protection of their human rights, including home, education, healthcare, mental health care, safety and hopes for the future.
Sad new milestone: 79.5 million people are now displaced. That is 1% of the world population. Think about the suffering behind the statistics: every refugee left theit home, their land, their livelihoods.
