Sincere thanks to our partners: @AustArabCouncil, @moroccoinaussie and @DeakinArtsEd. Without this support, these nine future journalists would not have been offered the valuable opportunities presented by this program.
The end of the #MoroccoinOz20 study tour to Australia also marked the conclusion of our first Australia-Morocco exchange of tours. Over six months, @AustArabCouncil delegates from @Deakin in Melbourne and ISIC in Rabat collaborated in both countries.
We were honoured to welcome the Ambassador of Morocco to Australia, His Excellency Ambassador Karim Medrek, and distinguished members of the Deakin University faculty. Presentations by the nine delegates made clear the deep and meaningful learning generated by the two tours.
@ausmideast Australia Middle East Journalism Exchange program is for students from Morocco and Deakin Uni who’ve just finished the program. It’s clearly been life-changing for them. Great work by Scott Bridges, Scherry Bloul & Deakin’s Work Integrated Learning team.
Thanks, @PakenhamGazette, for the article about our visit to your newsroom! Our #MoroccoinOz20@AustArabCouncil delegates learned a lot from their discussions with your journalists.

At the end of a busy week in Melbourne, we took our #MoroccoinOz20@AustArabCouncil delegates on a road trip. First stop was Hanging Rock to enjoy a bush walk, and then to the town of Castlemaine where they completed a reporting task.

One of our #OzinMorocco18 delegates, Mitch Clarke, is now a reporter for @PakenhamGazette and we couldn’t not take our #MoroccoinOz20@AustArabCouncil delegates to see him at work. Mitch and his colleagues gave the delegates an in-depth overview of Star News Group’s operation.
We're grateful for the opportunity to visit @3CR radio. Our #MoroccoinOz20@AustArabCouncil delegates learned about the station’s history and operation, its dedication to foregrounding marginalised voices, and its strong roots in the community.

Our #MoroccoinOz20@AustArabCouncil delegates were excited to visit the Melbourne headquarters of the ABC for a tour of the television and radio newsrooms and a discussion about the place the ABC occupies in the Australian media landscape.

The first working day of #MoroccoinOz20 found the Moroccan #CAAR delegates at @Deakin for a seminar with their Australian counterparts from #OzinMorocco19. Together, the delegates resumed work on collaborative projects they began in Morocco.

After a long journey from Casablanca, our #MoroccoinOz20@AustArabCouncil delegates took it easy on their first day, including a visit to the Bunjilaka exhibition at Melbourne Museum for an important introduction to Australia’s First Nations.
