Callout - Tues 28th May
A small group who were facing mobility difficulties on the moor. One of the party was unable to move after being immersed in a peat bog.
The casualty was assessed, rewarmed and refuelled and then assisted with walking off.

Incident 64 - Tuesday 28th May 2024 11:05hrs
Called by our duty controller to assist a horse rider above Hagg Side who was unfortunately thrown from her horse and suffered a lower leg injury. Thanks to @glossopmrt for their help and to the farmer for veh access.

We share with great sorrow that Glossop Mountain Rescue Team Founding Member and Life President, Ray Davies MBE passed away in hospital yesterday.

Today’s training exercise - training callout near Oaken clough
We utilised a range of resources
-fast parties to do an intial search -equipment groups
-drone team
Both training casualties located, treated and evacuated to safety.
All in all an excellent training scenario
Callout - Sat 17th Feb
The team were called at 12noon to assist Northwest Ambulance Service to get a casualty to the roadside
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery
As a team we are all volunteers who actively respond 24hours 365days a year

Search Dog Wren of @Buxton_MRT found an elderly gentleman who got lost on open moorland and drifted into a deep gully before running out of energy and calling for help.
