Dr @miriamatembe, a respected and celebrated elder is missing following a terrifying military raid on her residence.

As the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, your core mandate is to safeguard the Constitution and protect the rule of law yet under your watch, state-sponsored abductions have become normalized, and victims of torture are being systematically denied bail.

You have chosen to stay completely silent on these injustices. Was all your noise before the Speaker selection merely a strategy to get you back to cabinet?

Your docket is collapsing under the weight of human rights violations. Where are you, and where is the justice you promised?

They treat us as subhuman.
They kill our people for fun
They rape our sisters and brothers.
They torture us on camera.
They abduct us without remorse.
They tear families apart.
They drive people into exile.
They push others to commit suicide.
They rig elections with impunity.
They mock us and post humiliating images of our comrades in captivity.
Then they ask us “What will you do about it?”
But when we remind them, that they too are mortal, and that pain has a way of returning to its source, they suddenly remember the language of ‘morality’.
Go and preach that fake morality to Yasin Kawuma’s mother.
Preach it to the children of Johnbosco Kibalama., Eddy Mutwe or Waiswa Mufumbiro.
Preach it to the family of John Ddamulira and to the countless other victims of the Museveni family.
Don’t try to weaponize ‘morality’ to shield injustice and brutality.
It won’t work with this generation!
Yes, we believe in morality, but silence in the face of injustice is not morality. It is complicity, it is hypocrisy!

My heart goes out to Maama Dr. Miria Matembe who is being hunted down and our sister @SarahBireete who just got raided. May you still gather the courage to speak your truth during this difficult time.

They have built a throne for fear to reign among us and when they raid our homes and strip our dignity bare, they think they will undress our courage! We condemn every act of cruelty being unleashed on Uganda’s daughters, women and mothers.

To the sisters who have been beaten, raped, raided, left alone to fend for families while the breadwinners are abducted, kept in unknown detention and silenced. Be of courage! Injustice doesn’t reign forever! History will remember your wounds!

The school size 82 ministers Museveni cabinet has been approved. However, Janet Kataha Museveni’s approval has been deffered. Speaker told appointments committe, her office says she will appear in person at an appropriate time. She had wanted to be vetted on zoom. I have read here some comments to the effect that I’m obsessed with Museveni. How can I not be? In just this cabinet, he has appointed blood relatives. His wife, Janet Museveni, his niece Desire Muhooza who is Saleh’s daughter, his son’s sister in-law Shartsi Kutesa Musherure who is also a niece to Kataha, Henry Tumukunde who marries Janet Kataha’s cousin[Tumukunde’s son also marries Museveni’s other daughter) Jim Muhwezi who marries Janet Museveni’s cousin, Bright Rwamirama, who is also a relative. His son Muhoozi Kainerugaba is the CDF who is now appointing Parliamentary Speaker and deputy, his brother Salim Saleh is like a Co-President. As Ugandans, we must collectively be obsessed with this state of affairs. Maybe then we can gather courage and do something about it

@frankbalkazerg1 Here's another way to look at it.. Arsenal played as a unit, did not rely on only one single player, united on the other hand needed Bruno to carry it on his shoulders all season or they would have finished in a totally different position. All whole playing in only 1 competition
