@Banana3Stocks@Austinktm Genuinely, Im bummed you seem to be buying/posting less big company TA now. Biotech seems way more risky than solid TA on a solid company. It's interesting that you are so bullish on biotech, though. I just wish we had the same solid TA posted more often
“What is now happening to virology is a stark demonstration of what is happening to all of science. It will come to affect every aspect of science in a negative and possibly a dangerous way, as has already happened with climate science.”

@BretWeinstein@TuckerCarlson Who is lying? Your thesis was on evolutionary biology that refutes exactly what Carlson is talking about here; the evolutionary trade-offs would pertain to microbiology as well. Do you think your Doctoral committee was lying or upholding falsehoods when they approved your PhD?
@ESYudkowsky The lab leak requires so many improbable scenarios that it can nearly be considered null at this point. Versus a completely probable scenario that has happened and will happen again. All scientific evidence has pointed to zoonotic origin; zero evidence has pointed to a lab leak.

How embarrassing. These people have no idea what they are talking about. "15% likelihood of a BSL2 lab worker infection" hahahaha. Their entire argument for zoolonosis has no scientific backing.
All scientific evidence points to SARS-CoV2 being a natural origin. All this does is put $100k into the hands of judges with unknown scientific backgrounds to decide if the scientific method is a rational way of drawing conclusions.

If you lived in a real civilization, you'd have seen this conversation three years earlier, globally televised, between the Very Serious People that in reality Earth does not have.
Zooming around a bacteria cell. It's so cool
I just got the cell imported (including lipids) and rendering correctly with the new rendering engine (it's called Angstrom). 3x performance boost! So much detail (too much?!)

Between 800,000 and 900,000 years ago, the population of human ancestors crashed, according to a new Science study.
The results suggest that there were only about 1280 breeding individuals during this transition between the early and middle Pleistocene. https://t.co/lI2Q5JS3Ta
As Vivek Ramaswamy called climate change a “hoax,” our independent dial participants’ attitudes dropped across the board, particularly among women. #GOPDebate
