Turkish Airlines has suspended all flights to Iran until at least March 2027, a company representative told Iran International, as Iraq also moves to halt Iranian carriers following a US Treasury warning of a worldwide shutdown of their operations.

The representative said by phone that the airline currently has no flights scheduled to Iran before March and that there was no guarantee services would resume even then.

Turkey has long been one of the most accessible foreign destinations for Iranians, with relatively affordable travel and extensive air links supporting tourism, family visits and business.

Turkish Airlines’ prolonged suspension would further narrow international travel options for Iranians already facing growing restrictions on air connectivity.

Iraq will also suspend flights by Iranian airlines from Tuesday at dawn in line with the US Treasury decision, two Iraqi government sources told AFP.

Could this paint reduce the need for air conditioners? Chinese researchers have developed a radiative-cooling coating that can reduce the temperature of painted surfaces by up to 25°C
compared with conventional coatings during summer testing.

The coating works passively by reflecting solar radiation and releasing heat through the atmosphere, without electricity or water-based cooling. In real-world testing, the technology reportedly helped keep a coated container around 7°C cooler.

The coating is designed for use on homes and public infrastructure, with planned annual production of around 600,000 tonnes. Researchers also estimate the paint could have a lifespan of up to 15 years, supporting longer-term cooling applications.

أعلى الله مقامه الشريف وحشره مع أجداده الطيبين الطاهرين.

وإني أتقدم ـ مع بالغ الأسى والأسف ـ بالتعزية في هذه المصيبة العظيمة إلى الساحة المقدسة لحضرة ولي العصر أرواحنا فداه، وإلى الحوزات العلمية، وإلى ذوي الفقيد السعيد المحترمين، ولا سيما أنجاله الأعزاء المكرمين، وإلى عموم المؤمنين، وأسأل الله تعالى للجميع الصبر الجميل والأجر
