It's #AlcoholResponsibilityMonth, a time to recognize the choices that keep us, & those around us, safe
#ResponsibilityStartsHere is a simple reminder that responsibility begins wherever you are—at home, at work, on the road, & in your community: https://t.co/cMjwOvljzZ #ARM2026
As evident in the @goFAAR 2025 Impact Report, I am reminded of a guiding truth: "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together!"
Together, we are not only confronting today's challenges: we are shaping a more responsible future for all.
We are pleased that the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee advanced its next Surface Transportation Reauthorization bill, the Build America 250 Act.
Thank you @RepSamGraves, @RepRickLarsen, @TransportGOP, & @TransportDems for your dedication to safer roads.
With more time spent on the road during the summer months, it’s important to stay vigilant, respect the laws, understand personal limits & look out for those we share the road with.
This summer, #ResponsibilityStartsHere, there & everywhere! https://t.co/axIjLkqA5G

Thank you to @GovernorVA Spanberger for taking action and vetoing this bill. Impaired driving deaths are 100% preventable!
We were proud to work with our safety partners to ensure accountability for drunk drivers. #EndImpairedDriving
🔴 BREAKING: Citing a concern “about the application of this bill to DUI offenses,” kudos to @GovernorVA Abigail Spanberger for tonight vetoing 2026 Virginia legislation which proposed to allow judges -- despite prosecutorial objection -- to reduce or dismiss drunk driving charges even after guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt and even in cases involving repeat drunk drivers. ⚖️ #Accountability #PublicSafety https://t.co/hxXh94Mu6T
We were proud to join the traffic safety community to support this important law. Thank you to @GovEvers for signing the law and making roadways safer in #WI! #EndImpairedDriving
Wisconsin @GovEvers just signed an ignition interlock law aimed at stopping repeat drunk drivers. This is a huge legislative win out of Wisconsin!

ICYMI: WRAP, @MADDNational and @goFAAR advocate that @GovernorVA veto or otherwise amend 2026 Virginia bill proposing to allow judges -- despite prosecutorial objection -- to reduce or dismiss drunk driving charges even after guilt has been proven beyond a reasonable doubt and even in cases involving repeat drunk drivers. Governor Spanberger has until next Monday to act on the bill.
The legislation is also opposed by the Virginia Association of Commonwealth's Attorneys.

@SDAttorneyGen Marty Jackley: April is Alcohol Responsibility Month. Parents: Talk to your kids about staying alcohol-free. Underage drinking is NOT a rite of passage. Conversations about alcohol can empower kids to say “NO” to underage drinking. @goFAAR https://t.co/iNrZCCSHju
Even as US traffic deaths fell to lowest number since 2019, DWI deaths are up 17%. It’s time for all states to enact proven effective, lifesaving all-offender ignition interlock laws.
