Thank you @DSPCANorthGoa for stepping in to correct the distortion of facts by Director, @MissionRabies ,Goa Dr Murugan Appupillai linking community dogs feeding to the stray dog crisis. I am disappointed that Dr. Murugan has used words , 'irresponsible feeding'. In Goa, thanks to continued relentless good work of awareness generation and timely interventions by DSPCA, @GoaAnimalfedn since it's inception and by whole lot of NGOs and their veterinary services including hospitalisation, vaccination and sterilisation, the feeders across the State are aware and networked and know their responsibility towards cooperating with vaccination and sterilisation. If you can't have courage of conviction to point out to the Government agencies which have failed in their duty in effective implementation of ABC over the years, so be it, but do not target the feeders who the dog haters are in any case attacking, assaulting, abusing and blaming for the things which are beyond them.

After the recent judgement, citizens across India are brutally killing community dogs. Tatya’s killing is another heartbreaking example.
If someone can kill an innocent dog today, tomorrow he can harm anyone — me, the Chief Justice, or anyone around him.
Violence grows when the voiceless are left unprotected.

This is not justice. This is fear.

We request the Hon’ble Court:
Reconsider and protect community animals.
Let compassion guide the next judgement.
