More on the recent success of the @belspo ULTIMO Antarctic expedition is also reported in @destandaard! Indeed, the success is not only within the large number of astromaterials collected, but also their large diversity! ☄️(In Dutch) https://t.co/exXko738uI
Research teams from the @ULBruxelles and @VUBrussel have begun their trip to Antarctica and are excited to get back to work on the ice! There are two big research projects that these teams will be focusing on: ULTIMO and FROID 🧊☄️Follow link to learn more https://t.co/kaeINabI9Q
Scientists have pinpointed the origin and composition of the asteroid that caused the mass extinction 66 million years ago, revealing it was a rare carbonaceous asteroid from beyond Jupiter, according to a new study in Science.

In a new paper in Science, @VUBrussel scientists from @AMGC_VUB research lab helped fingerprint the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs: https://t.co/v6iHS5nUTl
New evidence points to the giant space rock that killed the dinosaurs being a carbonaceous chondrite, an ancient and rare type of meteorite.

Back for last talks on regulations for extraterrestrial samples
Huilin Jin, a current member of our team, has been doing great work extracting fossil micrometeorites from rocks dating hundreds of millions of years! These "grains", although tiny, could provide large amounts of knowledge on the Earth’s ancient dusty interplanetary environment!
📢 Job opportunity!
Several PhD positions available at the @AMGC_VUB research group of the @VUBrussel on #ERC Consolidator Grant project FLUX to work with me on fossil micrometeorites ☄️

What do meteorites have to do with climate change?
@VeroTollenaar, @HarryZeko et al show that ~5,000 meteorties become inaccessible per year as they melt into the Antarctic due to climate change
