I ain't afraid to be direct unlike a lot of others. The whole "Play Marathon if you want any hope of Destiny 3" idea is stupid. People pushing that idea are absolute fucking morons.
Bungie couldn't sustain Destiny 2 at its peak with record monetization, huge player numbers, over 1,600+ employees, and Marathon already in development.
They overexpanded, burned through resources, laid off staff, lost player trust and now have a fraction of the workforce they once had.
So what makes anyone think Bungie can sustain Marathon AND build an entirely new Destiny game from scratch at the same time with a massively reduced workforce and now - no more Destiny expansion revenue coming in big once the playerbase cools off.
When they shifted resources to Marathon you felt Destiny scale back in quality and quantity, less raids and dungeons per year, Episode format that was Seasons but longer and less content, content droughts became more frequent etc, the decline was rapid.
If Bungie couldn't handle both when they were at their strongest, what makes you think they can do it now at their weakest? Like generally, serious question...

Beware of under-delivery
When you stretch out storylines, drip-feed content, and ask players to pay more while receiving less, you’re sending a clear message: the players come second.
Success isn’t built by maximizing revenue at the expense of your community. It’s built on trust.
The fans who supported your game from the beginning are the reason your franchise exists. Destiny included.
Under-delivering erodes that trust. Brand loyalty takes years to earn and only moments to lose.
Treat your most loyal players well. Surprise them. Reward them. Give them moments like Monument of Triumph that remind them why they fell in love with the game in the first place.
Not everything should be locked behind a paywall. Somewhere along the way, Bungie lost sight of that.
Your developers are not disposable.
Building a world-class team takes years of investment, trust, and experience. Bungie’s developers, artists, writers, and community managers helped create one of gaming’s most beloved franchises.
If accountability is needed, it should start with leadership… not the people doing the work.
Great games aren’t built by constantly tearing down the foundation. They’re built by empowering talented teams, giving them the resources to succeed, and letting them create something special.
When you invest in your people, that’s where the magic happens.
I hope Bungie finds its way.
I want to see the entire team succeed and continue building Destiny for many years to come.
But that will require meaningful changes at the top. The studio needs new leadership and a renewed vision.
The entire leadership team needs to go starting with the studio heads.
Too many mistakes have been made, and the damage to both Destiny and Bungie’s reputation cannot be erased.
The developers, artists, writers, and community teams have shown time and again what they’re talented and capable when given the support and resources to succeed. To build a better Destiny.
Sony leadership needs to recognize that investing in great games isn’t an expense, it’s the foundation of long-term success.
Strong franchises generate value for players, developers, shareholders, and the company itself.
Destiny remains one of the most recognizable live-service franchises in gaming. With the right leadership, the right investment, and a commitment to Destiny, it can continue to thrive for years to come.
The players deserve it. The developers deserve it. And ultimately, it’s in everyone’s best interest for Bungie and Destiny to succeed.

If you hate KAT, I suggest you reconsider...
"I feel like other than losing a child there's nothing worse you could go through and it builds you up and it strengthens you beyond measure. That's why I got Philippians 4:13 and the date tattooed on my neck. I could do all things through Christ who strengthens me but I was strengthened on April 13 when I lost my mother. That's been my favorite Bible verse my whole entire life since I was little. I didn't know the significance it would have in my life when I became an adult. But what I do know is that I truly can do anything when I walk in faith, when I walk with the angels beside me. I feel anything's possible, I feel nothing's impossible...
I'm just grateful to be in this position because I know a lot of friends in mind that are not here to see this moment. I know a lot of people I love tremendously that aren't here to give me that hug or to give me that text message. I'm doing this for them. I do this for them, I do it for my mother's country, I do it for everybody in Dominican Republic, I do it for everyone in the city that welcomed my mother when she immigrated over. I do it for all my family in New Jersey that allowed me to be raised and allowed me to love this game of basketball and allowed me to be a kid with my mother and enjoy those times. It takes a tribe to get here and it takes a village and I'm so blessed that I've had the village I've had in my life to get to this point"
Nice that the whole world is figuring out in real time that Jimmy Butler has always been a narcissist who lied about KAT to prop himself up.
And Draymond Green too. Really anybody part of the clickbait media circles. It was always for their own attention.
Jalen Brunson is absolutely incredible but I’m happiest for KAT because he achieved the impossible
he forced Shaq and Charles to admit on national TV that he is tough
Karl-Anthony Towns is writing his name in Knicks history ✍️
KAT is the first Knicks player with a 20-point double-double in a road Finals game since Dave DeBusschere in 1973.
KAT is basically trying to process grief over his mom’s death by playing the best basketball of his life in these finals and I could not be rooting for him harder.
