Why do Christians worship on Sunday instead of observing the Jewish Sabbath?
Because the Sabbath belonged to the old covenant. Christ fulfilled it on the cross, establishing the New Covenant through His death and resurrection.
We celebrate Sunday because Christ rose from the dead on the first day of the week.
Worshiping on Sunday isn’t a modern Christian tradition either.
From the earliest centuries of the Church, Christians gathered on the first day of the week to worship rather than observing the Jewish seventh-day Sabbath.
Around AD 107, the early Christian leader Ignatius of Antioch described Christians as “no longer observing the Sabbath, but living in the observance of the Lord’s Day.”
In the second century, Justin Martyr defended Christians against the charge that they did not keep the Jewish Sabbath, arguing that Christians were not bound to its ceremonial observance.
The Didache, one of the earliest Christian writings outside the New Testament, instructed believers to gather together and break bread on the Lord’s Day.
Acts records Christians gathering to break bread on the first day of the week. Revelation calls it “the Lord’s Day.”
The early Christians understood that everything had changed with the resurrection.
Sunday is the Lord’s Day, the Christian day of worship, rest, and mercy.
Read your Bible. Go to church.
Thesis:
1. A powerful force (PF) acts with impunity inside the U.S. (examples: JFK, RFK, MLK, 9/11, Las Vegas, Covid, J6, Butler, CK)
2. Official investigations (conducted by captured agencies) actively avoid revealing the PF.
3. Cover stories for crimes committed by the PF are reflexively validated and become mainstream narratives.
4. Domain experts are intimidated and punished by the PF for exploring anomalies in official narratives.
5. Domain experts who do respond to these social threats end up fooling themselves in order to resolve their cognitive dissonance, rationalizing official explanations and "debunking" credible hypotheses about the activity of the PF.
6. Dissident, non-conforming experts are ridiculed, leaving them socially and professionally outcast.
7. Because the social and career costs are extreme for those who question official narratives, a market for sophistry emerges--Experts and laypeople alike seek to rationalize their own complacency against the PF.
@Natute123 For pointing out the truth? No. William Thomas should apologize for wearing "woman face" and pretending he's a woman because he couldn't make it as a man.
@JustTheTweets17 He's a quiet, autistic man, who has never been involved in violence, politics or any trouble at all. They just don't want to open peoples' eyes to the real J5 bomber who was a Capitol Police Officer and now works for the CIA. She failed the polygraph.
@ByronDonalds No data centers. No more invaders. Save our farms and ranches. Save our wildlife and natural lands. But those aren't profitable to you, Byron.
