You don't charge for hours. It takes about 20 - 30 mins each stop and always getting faster. Time you take a pump and then break is about the same as charging and break.

Explorer: $50k car + $7k repairs + $38.7k fuel = $95,752
Model S: $70k car + $4k repairs + $5 fuel = $79,328

Model S is still cheaper. I'd rather pocket $16k instead of being loyal to fuel.

@Mechnificently @JeffTutorials @elonmusk Model S charge cost per mile averages $0.037 per mile. 12,000 average miles per year. $444 a year, $5,328 over 12 years. Now sadly I couldn't find the average cost of electricity over the past 12 years so this is current vs past which would make it even cheaper.
