The NRA wants you to focus on how this was stopped, but the focus should be on how it started: a system that allowed a gun in the hands of a 16-year-old. Oh? Behavior that is directly violating international law? They’re selling off the land that belongs to other people? You don’t like protests because you support what’s being protested. You claim you don’t support Israel’s war crimes but you’re upset at the protesting of those crimes.

And it’s unfortunate that those crimes are being supported and hosted inside synagogues. That’s the real problem. But you don’t want to address that what’s being done inside is illegal - and that it being inside a synagogue is an intentional act. That way when the crime is protested, it is framed as “omg they’re protesting Jews! They’re protesting these synagogue! This is antisemitic behavior!”.

A black bear paid a visit to the Mammoth Lakes library Wednesday morning, getting in some browsing before opening hours.

Around 6 a.m., the bear made its way inside and helped itself to staff refreshments, including peanut butter, peach cups and a jar of honey. Security footage shows the bear exploring the reference desk and new releases section before seeing itself out.

Library officials reported no damage from the visit.
