It occurs to me - when we talk about what the Twin Cities and Minnesota *used to be*, people under 40 have no idea what we're talking about.
Minnesota was an economic, cultural and technological powerhouse. It was a destination.
Let's recount what we've lost (1/15)
@SliceApp I have a problem with my account with you. I sent a message on the platform yesterday but haven't heard back yet. When can I expect to hear back?
@AaronGleeman No outcome would shock me with Rodriguez. A literal superstar to complete bust range of outcomes. Its a fascinating profile. Good article.
@Peoples_Pundit Its worth doing the right thing, regardless of cost. I remember when Republicans were going to be lost for a decade because Roe got overturned and women were going to be super mad for a generation. Things change.
@TicTocTick Anyone who thinks banks are going away should work in bank customer service. People like having a safety net to call when something goes wrong.
@mazemoore I used to work in fraud at a bank in MN. The state didn't give a flying f about the fraud. That's the real scandal. Were state officials getting paid to overlook stuff?
@EricCrossMLB I've built my dynasty teams on trading picks for veterans at the draft when the hype is the highest and then be an absolute hawk on the waiver wire. My leagues have five round, sixty picks total in the draft. There's just so many guys that fall outside of that draft.
@DataRepublican As someone who used to work in bank fraud, in MN, and saw a bunch of this Somali stuff first hand. Not sure if you can find it but there are clearly fraudulent Somali companies in MN getting contracts from DFL lawmakers for things like catering and car services. Worth a look.
@LibertyUSA37 As someone who worked at a bank, in fraud, in MN, this stuff is just the beginning. Dozens of rent subsidies to the same address, pay for play contracts, and money laundering are all there for folks to find if you dig far enough.
@SFarringtonBKC Honestly, I only signed up because you weren't asking for an exorbitant amount. Very happy I did. I will tell you what my favorite retail boss told me one, "WalMart sells way more shit than Saks Fifth Avenue does."
