@gptbrooke@melodaysong In case it’s up your alley, my partner and I are launching https://t.co/gjNSR8W84p over in Oakland in March. No need to text blast - join the cult, invite friends, and everyone is in one place at the same time for dinner. Plus, name any other MLM that accepts ritual sacrifices!
@melodaysong Oh, and you can check us out on IG @ __friendcult!
FWIW, I don’t think an app will ever suffice. The issue is that humans co-evolved using campfires to socialize, society replaced campfires with an isolating attention economy. Apps are the problem, campfires are the solution.
@melodaysong My partner and I are building https://t.co/gjNSR8W84p. You might be interested! It’s IRL, no apps - basically a weekly calendar invite for all your friends and food to get them to come. About to launch in 3 or so weeks and accepting applications. We’re in Oakland now, eyeing SF!
@SimonDixonTwitt Simon. Cmon. I get helping Palestine. But this hamas doc literally says ‘we only attacked non-civilians’. Have you seen the footage of that day? This is a blatant lie. How can you treat this as credible. Seriously, very bad take.
@charlescwcooke@socialiststeve6 Many religions would consider the interest on these loans usury. No one said paying back a loan should be immoral, just charging exorbitant interest (let alone devaluing the currency).
@BowTiedUM It seems a bit disingenuous to reduce hallucinogens to simply modifying BDNF and serotonin like cardio in your framework. The impacts neurally and experientially are vastly diff + empathogenic, primarily serotonin-driven drugs induce much different altered states.
@OMApproach There are super simple OBVIOUS answers to all your rhetorical questions. If you actually wanted answers they’re easy to find. Not everything is a conspiracy.
@debarghya_das Lemme correct that for ya -
“Raising a kid in the US seems hellish compared to *rich people in India*…or rich people anywhere else for that matter”
Obviously the maid, cook and driver still have a difficult day…just not the person that employs them.
@azrael2393 Re: ‘other but technological’ - fascinating way to describe it. Did you experience any mental, physical or spiritual effects? Or was it more like observing an animal or something in the wild?
@azrael2393 Oh we are 100% on the same page. The man is a nutjob. I mostly just see media and personalities engage in the mocking that over generalizes and undermines legitimate experiences and investigators.
@azrael2393 1. Fascinating. 2. Crazy to reflect on the fact that only 6 months ago we had a convo here over a mocking Uri Geller tweet you made. The dude is a tool, but the point was that overbroad ridicule was socially engineered over decades to discredit honest sightings like your own.
@twobitidiot@TheVisionEx It’s not problem. Although it would be interesting to hear why you think it is. Idolotry is a problem. It’s strange to have someone care more about their idols and team colors than the outcomes the team is supposed to make happen. That’s a recipe for a bad product, bad government
@twobitidiot@TheVisionEx You’re really not listening at all to what this man said…The right are tribalists, they act like everything is a team sport…red team vs blue team, my chief va yours. The left isn’t another team...it’s not in the stadium. We think chiefs are stupid and they make you stupid.
@Rainmaker1973 Gold’s chemical characteristics are unique and that’s exactly why it’s ‘the’ rare metal - It doesn’t oxidize. It’s glowing yellow in rock, you smelt it at a relatively low temp and then it never tarnishes. Vs copper, bronze, iron, silver.
