Is the Government of Manipur attempting to shield Mr. Tholu Rocky, MPS, Superintendent of Police, Kamjong, or attempting to cover up its failure following the killing of innocent Kuki-Zo civilians in Chassad?

Mere transfer and posting is not a solution. An officer in uniform who is a wolf in sheep's clothing must be held accountable; otherwise, he will repeat such acts in the future.

Before he is transferred elsewhere, the concerned authorities and the State Government must thoroughly investigate the role of Mr. Tholu Rocky, MPS, SP Kamjong, in the cold-blooded attack on the peace-loving Kuki-Zo community at Chassad.

The footage speaks for itself. Did he authorize the Tangkhul secessionist narco-terrorist groups NSCN-IM and NSCN Eastern Flank, who came from Myanmar, to be stationed at Kamjong Police Station? If not, who recorded the footage of innocent unarmed civilians and instructed the NSCN-IM to shoot them?

The footage must be thoroughly investigated. The Manipur Police @manipur_police must take stringent action against those responsible immediately; otherwise, this may lead to further unnecessary provocation in the future.

Under the leadership of **Thuingaleng Muivah, NSCN-IM has been accused of carrying out brutal atrocities against Kuki civilians**, leaving families shattered, villages devastated, and generations traumatised.

More than three decades have passed, yet the suffering of Kuki families whose loved ones were killed, beheaded, or disappeared remains a painful wound. Our ancestral villages across **Ukhrul, Senapati, Tamenglong, and Noney** bear the scars of this dark chapter in history. The reported loss of more than 1,000 Kuki lives demands serious historical investigation, accountability, and recognition—not silence, denial, or forgetfulness.

**Rishang Keishing was the Chief Minister of Manipur when the 1993 violence erupted.** The role of the then Manipur Government, Manipur Police, IRB personnel, and all armed groups implicated in the violence must be thoroughly and independently investigated. No individual or institution should be shielded from accountability if evidence establishes responsibility for these crimes.

**WE DEMAND THE IMMEDIATE RETURN OF OUR ANCESTORS’ REMAINS AND SEVERED HEADS.** We demand the identification of victims, the disclosure of burial locations, answers about missing family members, and justice for the innocent women, children, babies, and civilians whose lives were brutally taken.

How long must Kuki families wait to learn the fate of their loved ones? The destruction of Chassad Kuki village, Kamjong district, on the night of 9 October and morning of 10 October 2026 demands urgent answers and accountability. Kuki villagers have lost their homes and security, yet the public still deserves clear answers about the action taken by the authorities.

WHY HAS THE GOVERNMENT FAILED TO DELIVER VISIBLE, DECISIVE ACCOUNTABILITY?

If Manipur IRB personnel are accused of involvement in the destruction of civilian homes, why have the authorities not publicly clarified the status of the investigation and the action taken? Why should Kuki civilians be expected to trust a system that has yet to provide clear answers about this grave incident?

The reported involvement of Manipur IRB personnel and NSCN-IM must be investigated independently, impartially, and without political interference. No uniform, rank, organisation, or political connection should place anyone above the law. Anyone found responsible must face legal consequences.

🚨 URGENT: FIVE KUKI-ZO CIVILIANS INJURED — DEMAND IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION AND ACCOUNTABILITY!

Today, Kuki-Zo civilians attempting to repair electric poles to restore electricity were reportedly ambushed, leaving five civilians injured in the eyes. The reported incident occurred in the presence of Assam Rifles personnel. This shocking incident demands immediate answers, a transparent investigation and decisive action.

From the Kuki Community’s side, we strongly demand: WHO IS RESPONSIBLE, WHO KNEW ABOUT THE ATTACK, AND WHY ARE INNOCENT CIVILIANS STILL EXPOSED TO SUCH DANGERS?

Serious concerns have been raised regarding the activities of the NSCN Eastern Flank, NSCN-IM and the Shanni National Army, as well as the Myanmar military junta. Questions have also been raised about the United Naga Council, Senapati District CSOs, student organisations, JTM, NPO, ANSAM, Tangkhul CSOs and political representatives, including Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho. Any alleged connection, prior knowledge or involvement must be investigated impartially and established through credible evidence. No one should be shielded from accountability.

⚠️ OUR DEMANDS ARE CLEAR:

IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION into the ambush and the injuries suffered by five civilians.

IDENTIFY AND ARREST THE PERPETRATORS in accordance with the law, based on evidence.

ANSWERS FROM THE AUTHORITIES regarding the circumstances of the attack and the presence of Assam Rifles.

IMMEDIATE PROTECTION for Kuki-Zo civilians, including women, children and villagers performing essential work.

ACCOUNTABILITY FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED in planning, facilitating or carrying out the attack, if established by the investigation.

Repairing electric poles to restore electricity is essential civilian work. No civilian should be attacked for trying to restore a basic necessity. The safety of Kuki-Zo villagers cannot be treated as an afterthought, and the suffering of injured civilians must not be ignored.

JUSTICE MUST NOT BE SELECTIVE. SILENCE IS NOT ACCOUNTABILITY. INACTION IS NOT JUSTICE.
