Saving Britain's Wildlife is a personal project to raise awareness about the state of nature in this country and to shine a light on nature protections.
We can do more for nature ....starting at home. We can talk about the wonders of wildlife, we can be earnest in our drive to protect key species or to bring back wildlife that became instinct. We can protect wildlife in our own garden.
The more we enthuse, the greater our reach. ๐ The joy of nature is infectious. We can spread that love by being bold with our communications.
Join me if you care about our British wildlife. ๐

@Askrigg_lad No it didn't need to happen. While I understand people's concerns whipped up by the likes of right wing politicans and bully boys, what will happen when a boat flounders? A British boat. Or a child is swept out to sea? Hatred is leaving people unprotected.
@ZiaYusufUK I would rather it bust than have Reform in. I have never known such an unprofessional political party - not just unprofessional but unscrupulous too.
@TiceRichard@lorraine_teuten As climate change worsens, any politicians that took dirty donations from fossil fuel companies despite knowing of the risks, should be imprisoned.
Bridges open up woodland to roaming bison
Bridges have opened in woodland near Canterbury, doubling the area available to a herd of free-roaming European bison in Kent.
The two crossings, in West Blean and Thornden Woods, allow the animals to access an additional 50 hectares of habitat, increasing their roaming area to 100 hectares.
Kent Wildlife Trust said camera footage had captured the herd using the bridges for the first time as they began exploring areas of woodland that were previously inaccessible to them.
European bison were introduced to the woodland in 2022 as part of a project involving Kent Wildlife Trust and Wildwood Trust.

๐ Last week, Chris Packham visited Michelle in the crate!
Seeing the equipment used to cage animals in factory farms up close and personal really brought home the reality of the lives of millions of animals across the UK.
Lunaโs Story represents the tale of mother pigs in animal factories across the UK, and is why Michelle is spending three weeks in a farrowing crate.
I now know why the top of my hanging basket is flat despite the flowers having done well...sparrows are sitting in it while they wait for the bird feeder!
I just saw their little heads sticking out LOL
To save scarlet macaws, scientists are rescuing chicks from their lethal parents
Scarlet macaws are an iconic but declining tropical bird. To change the species' fate, scientists are working to counter a lethal parenting method that dooms many chicks to death.
