Congratulations Vithya!!
Records are meant to be broken & there is no greater reward for an athlete than to see the next generation go beyond the boundaries we once set. Vithya Ramraj breaking my 43-year-old national record in the 400m hurdles is an incredibly special moment.
Underrated life advice: Become difficult to rush. The world will pressure you to rush into everything. Rushed decisions. Rushed relationships. Rushed conversations. Rushed timelines. There's power in rejecting that trend. Pause. Slow down. Create space to think clearly.
a golden advice my mentor gave me:
if you cannot beat them in knowledge, intelligence or capital; beat them in your ability to take risks.
BOLD FREAKINN RISKSS.
A short #Thread of photos that I clicked while flying between #Chennai and #Thiruvananthapuram last friday. There is no better teacher of Geography than a journey.
Memory cards were actually good. But tech companies destroyed that market and forced us to take cloud storage subscription, giving them access to our personal info
You CANNOT go back in time and change the decisions you took. Forgive yourself, move on, be your best version. You're alive and until death all defeat is psychological.
Rebuild.
You'll regret it if you get married, you'll regret it if you don't get married. You'll regret it if you have kids and you'll regret it if you don't. Kierkegaard said this 200 years ago as follows - whatever you choose, you'll regret it, because the problem isn't in your choices, it's in romanticizing your life. A person always finds an untravelled path alluring and mysterious. That's why the issue isn't making the right choice. It's choosing and deciding which regret you'll live with. In life, we must choose our regret.
the real reason you’re tired all the time: it’s not your workload. it’s your open loops. the text you haven’t answered. the apology you owe. the decision you’re avoiding. the conversation you keep postponing. these run in the background of your mind all day, draining your battery. close your loops. watch your energy return. mental clutter is more exhausting than physical work ever will be.
