@ludvonrand @lauriewired But most people's computers aren't doing high performance workloads. Hyper threading is great for personal computers with a lot of IO binding.

@lauriewired It seems foolish to get rid of hyper threading it's just an extra set of registers in the CPU. I can't imagine it takes up that much space. It's also really beneficial for IO bound tasks.

@CLTdevelopment We have Reedy Creek nature preserve in NE Charlotte that the vast majority of the surrounding neighborhoods have no access to, except to drive. Then people say "why don't kids go outside anymore"....

@Tesho13 Not the win everyone thinks it is. It's going to be amazingly expensive to make this a useable commuter corridor. Every single bit of infrastructure on the route will have to be replaced down to the dirt all while maintaining access to daily freight trains.

@CLTgov No way does CLT have enough money to make the redline useful. The entire line has to be rebuilt from scratch and even then only a few slow trains each day.

@CLTMayor Massive mistake. This will never be useful for mass transit with out absolutely massive amounts of money poured into it. NS trapped CLT gov in a political no win, and got us to foot the bill to upgrade tacks they get to run on and delay passenger service.

@TheKelseyMcR Also they regularly sell oversized units. This results in poor performance since the unit runs in short cycles and can't dehumidify the air.
